RS2 is from Hiby and it's a small, ultra-portable R-2R dap. Has custom OS and not android. has 2 micro sd card slots for a total of 4TB. Both slots can be used simultaneously. Has 4.44mm balanced and 3.5mm headphone outputs. Costs $479
I am not very good at this, which is the more difficult load?
1) 300 ohms with 99 dB/mW = ZMF VC
2) 23 ohms with 87 dB/mW = DCA Stealth
Looks like the DCA is easier?
I am not having any problem with listening to the VC on the RS8 with the amp set to medium with normal listening levels. Low amp was a bit low volume and not well controlled bass. I would not claim it to be amazing on the ZMF VC. It seems to wake up after a while and gets good.
DCA To get 100 dBSPL
Required power (milliwatts)
20
Required voltage (volts RMS)
0.68
Required current (millamps RMS)
29.5
ZMF To get 100 dBSPL
Required power (milliwatts)
1
Required voltage (volts RMS)
0.61
Required current (millamps RMS)
2.0
ZMF is much easier to drive.
After running for an hour, the ZMF and RS8 sound pretty good
I demoed both and RS2 is like a mini RS8 in sound signature. However, unless you are okay with pure local muisc player, RS2 is not for you since it has no wifi, no bluetooth, no andriod to install app, just a pure music player for IEMs only (my guess it is not powerful enough to drive headphones).
BTW, since I always play RS2 in shuffle mode, its small screen will be a pain if you like always scrolling for songs.

I am not so sure, maybe you can email Hiby reps to confirm. I know Hiby music supports it and Hiby starts its business as a software provider, therefore, highly likely the answer is yes.
Back on my Apple Music issue on RS8, strangely it works again flawlessly... but I don't know why and it's not after a restart or any action on my part... I'll keep an eye out
Listening to the canadian jazz singer Dominique Fils Aimé latest album (Three little words) with the Elysium plugged to the RS8 I have goosebumps, her beautiful voice is taken to new heights. If you like jazz vocals her previous albums Nameless and Stay tuned! then you're in for a treat... Elli Miller Maboungou percussions are great as well, a very engaging album. Each of her album include one, the cover version of "Stand by me" is mesmerizing between her stunning vocals and just a double bass and piano.... Vocals shine better than ever with RS8...
On a side note, CR08 might arrive not too far in the future
Does anyone know if there is a planar in ear headphone that sounds good with the Hiby? Reviews say the Dunu is a little bright in the upper mids. which is not what I'm looking for.

While not exactly a planar IEM, Itsfit Fusion IEM uses a Magnetostatic™ driver (ultra-thin 5-layer erromagnetic membrane layer with high high magnetic permeability moves its entire surface without any dead point, minimizing sound loss, transfer delay and distortion. There’s also no need to use high-volt amp like Electrostatic).
I've one with a custom fit and use with my Hiby RS2. Very nice across all the frequencies (the lows, mids and highs) with good resolution & clarity. No fatigue. No sibilance.
