Also looking for a 6.35mm female to 4.4male balanced…. Any recommendations on amazon uk or otherwise? Can I use a XLR ended cable from the Expanse into the RS8 using an XLR to 4.4mm adaptor?
(Wish there was a kit for all this instead of finding shady buyers mixing balanced and unbalanced everywhere)

ddHiFi provides most of the adaptors and they are good quality..Also looking for a 6.35mm female to 4.4male balanced…. Any recommendations on amazon uk or otherwise?

I am demoing a DCA Aeon 2. I have tried it on the 3.5mm output and it's quite decent with turbo on and high on the gain. Really good bass. Sounds better than balanced on the Node X which is the only device I have at hand with me in London.
I am trying to connect the RS8 to the Mojo2. I used USB C : USB C however the only app which works is UAPP.
any suggestions? I don't have a digital coaxial in 3.5 , just the one which came with it.
Would using the optical out on the dock made a difference just to connect it to the Mojo?
Also with UAPP all I'm getting is a player and not able to apply any filters, etc. I'd like to use that and the mojo2 just as an amp and not do it's own DAC. is that possible?

so, interesting bug.. mqa tracks playing at half speed at Tidal in Hiby App . Anyone else?
Nope. Playing fine. Maybe Try a reboot, logout login and make sure the tidal app itself is closed.
I am having issues with continually getting logged out of Qobuz in the hiby app.

can you please post them or PM me with the links.I have made many over the years, however I'm not sure how to rank them and categorize them in terms of sound, and I have some work deadline tomorrow to meet for now. I'll pm you some when I'm free. Or would @all like to have them posted in this thread?![]()

Finally ready to upgrade my 1.10 firmware but can't find 1.20 anywhere. Over air shows only 1.11 available and HiBy website also doesn't list 1.20.
I don't want to put 1.11 on it.
@Joe Bloggs, any help please?

For the Neutron Music Player users on the RS8, R6Pro II, and R6 III (HiBy's Android 12 based DAPs) who are facing the issue that tapping the play button starts fast-forwarding with silence, instead of playing music.
(I already reported the issue to HiBy support. And they are working on it.)
I found a workaround.
Try turning OFF the "Audio Focus" under the Neutron settings -> Audio Hardware. Then the Neutron will play music much more stably.

Ok I'm getting around to organizing them

This was a collection of IRSes I tried to adapt to different tastes in level of virtualization vs clarity

This is a folder of experimental BRIRs created using a synthetic method. The first number is a spatialization effect strength while the second number is... also a strength but in a widening sense. You can regard first number as the effect depth and the second number as the effect width. I'd suggest exploring in the range 0.2 to 0.5 for the first number and 0.3 to 0.6 for the second number. Only 48k is provided, you may consider adding a resampling in the effect chain on top of convolution to fix the input sample rate to 48kHz

This is a folder of BRIRs created using real-world measurement method and then processed for different strengths. fo(1) to fo5 stand for low to high strength, however the one with "fo" is actually full strength. "bb" stands for an extra processing step done to enhance bass definition and channel balance. One of these is actually the BRIR already shared

This was from another set of measurements. One of the better ones.

This is another good one, one that throws the voice one of the furthest in front of me. 48k version only.

Another good one, this one has a bit more side action going on while centre vocals retain good focus.

This was one my first good attempts from way back when. 48k only.
