Hiby has upgraded the RS6 and offering an upgrade to the new model for a fee of 999 rmb, but this promotion is only open to mainland China.

RS8 and N8ii won DAP of the year on various sites. I don't know where RS6 won anything when it came out, but for me as a complete package, RS6 is a DAP of the year and that is my new standard when I compare any modern Andriod DAP against it.

They are not naming the new RS6 as RS6II. Im glade Hiby hasn't forgotten about RS6, and I also respect Hiby for not quietly releasing the RS6 with the recent improvement (as they could have and no one would have known).

Yes, and for the limited time, those who buy the new rS6 grey will also get a free CR06 dock (designed for RS6).

I am traveling and away from my RS6, but wondering is there an OTA update I can look forward to or are you indicating that one is anticipated soon. Thanks for clarifying @audionewbi and happy holidays to the great folks on this thread.

It would be hard for me to tell whether the changes would be note worthy, but I'm really enjoying the sound of RS6. I was away from it for a while and going back to it this week, I realised how much I appreciate what it has to offer sonically.

I am very happy with my RS6 and would consider an upgrade if available in the U.S., but in the interim some new firmware and / or plugins would be nice to see...seems like with the upgrade offer for China and the launch of RS8 it's a bit quiet for us original RS6 owner. Hopefully HiBy hasn't forgotten us. @Joe Bloggs any information on this point?

Well the plugins in use are the same across all R models... no secret RS8 exclusive modules as far as I know

Hi team, how do I force Ultra HD on RS6? It seems the app doesn't recognize it as HS capable. Max I can get is HD(which is CD streaming.)

Only hardward change is the case. The upgrade will be over the year (OTA) sometimes in Jan-2023.

So the improved dynamic range is via an OTA and the only change is the colour of the metal case/housing of the RS6?
