I'm hearing boost in specific frequencies, Am I right to assume the HDR feature is eq psychoacoustic rather than a further improvement on the FPGA coding of the Darwin family?
(I really love HDR on the binaural recording).

Does Hiby have any plans to release a stand-alone DAC/amp? I would love to see what Hiby can come up with if they were to not limit themself to the footprint of a "pocketable' DAP and go all out with using Vishay Z-foil. I really believe you guys are onto something special with Darwin and if release it on a Hugo (Hugo TT footprint), you will probably cause a nice ripple in that segment of the market.

I would strongly recommend against buying a Chinese version without Google Play, unless you absolutely don't need Google Play or don't think you'd be reselling it to someone who does.
Why don't the Chinese versions include the play store? You know if the Chinese versions of the R5 Gen 2 includes the play store?

I feel the firmware has taken away some of the warmth from RS6 and it feels more neutral.

While it might be a good thing for some, I rather quiet enjoy the warmth it had.

Any idea how to go back to the old /previous version?
Just about to install 1.6, I'm wondering if the new HDR feature is a setting you can enable/disable?

I really like the warmth RS6 brings to my IEMs, don't really want to change that..

Yes, HDR can be disabled.

Wait for HDR mode in new firmware for RS2 ?

Yup new firmware without HDR enabled has less warmth. Brighter for people who wants more details but not so much for peeps who wanted to keep the 1.5 signature. And it's quite an apparent change, sounds delta sigma ish now and vocals has less emphasis

It is supposed to be a further improvement on the FPGA coding rather than an EQ.

New firmware with HDR enabled sounds very nice to me, still highly musical with a bit more extension. I have MSEB "Analogue" enabled as well.

Hi Joe, I hear some high pitch clipping and distortion when HDR is enabled. It seemed an issue, isn't it?
that does seem relevant based on what I know of HDR. What music material were you playing?

Headquarters has suggested that you provide a sample music file that you were listening to when you heard such.
