Hiby R6 Pro - serious upgrade to popular DAP

@Joe Bloggs

Still can't get anywhere with USB output.

No matter what I press it's still greyed out and no signal going out of USB C port.

See photos please.

Thanks.

Are you trying to get audio *into* or *out* from the r6pro via USB? If the latter, are you trying to do it with HiByMusic or something else?

I'm playing CD quality FLAC files. As I mentioned the MSEB within HiBy app works fine, but the system wide doesn't seem to affect output.

@xenithon I am listening on BT headphones (Sennheiser HD-1), as those are what I have available ATM.

Update: So after cabling the headphones, it works. So, BT headphones do not benefit from the system wide MSEB, whereas the Hiby Music app version of MSEB works fine over BT. Any way to get this fixed, or is there a technical reason that the system wide MSEB doesn't work with BT headphones.
IIRC the technical note with the FW update mentioned that MSEB won't work with BT output.

I don't know if it will change in the future but it was part of the notes of the update that MSEB global doesn't work with BT, DSD or MQA.

Audio OUT.

Favourite would be Qobuz audio - out the USB port digitally. Is that possible?

If it only works with Hiby Music - then I would like to try the 3.5mm to SPDIF coax out.

A question on that - I lost the box that had the Hiby coax cable in it - its it a 'stereo' 3.5mm tip or a 'mono' tip?

Thank you!

Does MSEB work globally? Will it work on Qobuz output..

Neither, it's a 3-pole 3.5mm.

Ok next: what were you trying to output *to*?

And if using anything other than HiByMusic, please tap CANCEL to the "Allow HiByMusic to access the USB device" prompt.

I don't remember seeing a technical note for the update, thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Here's hoping they can get it to work with all outputs, eventually.

Out to a Mutec USB+3 wordclock device. I have that connected to a Grace 903 headphone amp / d/a converter.

Wow this new feature can let me make presets like the PowerDac V2.

The stats would be nice to have a quick explanation. But I will figure it out eventually by playing around.

Already enjoying the benefit. Making my iems more fun sounding. My Fearless Roland respond really well increasing bass and then adjusting the affected female voice stats.

The Audeze i4 would be interesting.
