Hiby R6 Pro - serious upgrade to popular DAP

I don't have any noise until my R6Pro gets to within 5mm of sat on my phone (with wifi, bt and data on)

I have an exchange processing at this point. The only way for me to ignore all the interference noise was to turn my headphones up higher than enjoyable listening.

I'm using a pixel 3, but the interference occurs significantly if my r6 pro is connected to my house wifi with my cellphone in an entirely different room. It does this on 3.5mm and 4.4mm, and I've tested multiple headphones and over 300 dollars worth of cables through amazon. I've done multiple factory resets, so I think it's just my device at this point. thanks

I think you're right and I should hope the device will be returned / replaced in much better condition!

I just received a new R6 Pro (international version), and for some reason the media keys (play, previous & next) do not operate within the Hiby music app, but work as expected in both UAPP and Neutron. The firmware is build 1.1G, and the buttons are set to "operable" in the system settings. Am I missing something?
Swipe up from bottom of the screen when in hiby app, the media keys will show up.

Hi Everyone & Joe Bloggs.

I have recently purchased the Hiby R6 Pro from MusicTeck, and really love the sound and the performance of the R6. One thing I would like to ask Joe & everyone here is about the volume setting when I connect the 3.5mm LO to to my car's AUX input. Whenever I've made the connection from the R6 Pro to the car's AUX input, the R6 Pro's volume was not automatically adjusted. I had to manually increase the volume to hear a decent sound volume out of my car's speaker. I am used to the R3's LO connection to the car's AUX, where the R3's volume is automatically adjusted to the max value so that I can hear a good volume coming out of my car's speaker.

Joe, this seems to be a bug in the R6 Pro that needs to be fixed. It would be very dangerous to the ears if I were to forget to lower the volume when switching back to headphone output (3.5 or 4.4). Can you please let me know? The build number for my R6 Pro is 1.11GBeta.

Thank you for your help!

The history is spread over thousands and thousands of posts in the R6 and R3 threads. My brief synopsis: Things got started in the mid 2017 with the announcement of the forthcoming R6 model via an Indiegogo campaign and Joe Bloggs soon became highly active here on the forums providing much sought after information, advice, and connections/communications back to HiBy (he was the HiBy Music Product Manager based one of his early posts in the R6 thread in August 2017). Much frustration ensued over deliveries to the original backers of the Indiegogo campaign - won't go into any more than that here. In early 2018 HiBy announce the R3 model and utilize Kickstarter for this one. Joe maintains a very active dialog supporting both devices here on the forums. Fast forward to Sept 2018 and unfortunately Joe parts ways with HiBy. Forum support by HiBy falls to almost zero. Not a good way to build loyalty with people you hope will someday by your future offerings. Even after leaving HiBy Joe does what he can to answer questions and help troubleshoot, etc. Fast forward to Jan 2019 - Joe Bloggs is back with HiBy and see immediate improvements in communications with HiBy.

Well - I wrote more than I wanted to but I hope this gives you a little info about what happened.

Cheers,
Tim

Joe deserves a great sense of gratitude from all of us who bought Hiby products (R6 and R3), especially when we thought support would be forth coming from gentlemen like Joe.
The Android 8.1 upgrade for R6 is a terrible way to conduct business when an OTA process would have been better.

Thanks, but I was referring to hardware buttons on the side. I prefer to use those when the screen is off.

Sorry that I mis-understood ur thread. Thought u were talking abt the "back, home, task" keys.
Anyway, glad u figured it out.

Anyone has trouble sorting the "favourite" tracks in Hiby music app?

Yesterday I tried to delete certain tracks but it won't do it properly. The app suggested "It's removed successfully" but it did not delete the selected tracks. It actually deleted the tracks at the end of the list, which I just added.
Tried close and re-open the app, or restart the r6 pro, no luck. It just keep deleting tracks from the end of the list instead of the selected tracks.

I enjoyed the DAP very much but this thing is driving me nuts.
Anyone had the same issue? Any solutions?
(My r6 pro is a Chinese version running the latest firmware. )

Thanks~

I've had this glitch. Guess I haven't checked into it to see if it's actually deleting it and just not updating the list like I suspect .... When I back out, the stated track count on the list has changed....

I noticed the track count change too. But for me, it changed because it delete tracks from the end of the list while the selected track that I wanted to delete stayed untouched. This is super annoying.
And weird enough, the first 10 tracks or so were deleted just fine, then the glitch happened.
Is there a Hiby Rep in this thread? I like to bring this issue to their attention.

I once had the Hiby R6 and thought while it sounded damn good the amp section was weak and the WiFi signal was terrible . The interface was extremely good. The output impedance was also poor .

I have just bought the R6 Pro and it appears that some of my negative impressions of the R6 are now corrected .

If so , the R6 Pro will be a permanent keeper .
