I followed all of the above steps and as soon as I turned on Bluetooth it crashed and started the reopen and crash cycle.
Please wait for our update :mask:

Will HiBy assist phone owners with multi device pairing? Will I be able to take phone calls on a W5?

That would be something that the W5 itself would have to be capable of (pairing with the R6 and a smartphone at the same time), but I have not heard of such a capability on the W5.

Is there any plan for a bluetooth receiver feature? This functionality would be very useful and most (if not all) of your competition has it. I actually miss this after switching to the R6 pro from my previous DAP.

On the R6 Pro...

Tidal - what is the latest and safest version to use at this point? I have stuck with 2.11.3 after all the issues I had with MQA not working with newer versions. Has this changed?

Qobuz - what is the latest and safest version to use?

TIDAL: 2.11.3 is still the version to use.
Qobuz: I am not aware of any issues with the latest version.

Thank you! I will let Play Store update Qobuz, and continue to stay on the Tidal down rev...

Is there any plan to issue an R6 Pro OTA update to bring support for the latest version of Tidal? My worry is that at some point Tidal may stop allowing older versions to work...

Note that you must keep play store auto updates turned off an update individual apps manually.

Adding native MQA support to the R6 means adding stream decoding of MQA bitstreams in the R6 audio stack. It would have to be done in software as the R6's DAC does not natively support MQA unfolding. To ensure that no breaks in sound occur when seeking or cutting between non-MQA and MQA audio, all PCM audio would have to be upsampled (to the same sample rate that MQA audio of that sample rate would unfold to), regardless of whether or not they actually contain an MQA stream. We are still wrapping our heads around the ramifications of all this and trying to decide whether it is worth it for you and for us to do this.

This is not the case for the R3, because the custom OS can inform the decoder in advance whether the audio data can possibly be an MQA stream.

With this balance output power, can R6 pro fully drive the AKG N5005?

Hey, I’m very new to high end audio, however I wanted to share some info that might be helpful.

I just got a Black Dragon balanced cable from Moon Audio and it’s an astonishing difference in power for my Audeze LCD-2’s compared to the stock unbalanced

I can only turn the volume on the R6 Pro up to between 1/3 and 1/2 of maximum until it’s too loud to stand.

I played a 5.6Mhz DSD (Yamina - Love Letters) last night... I’ve literally never heard music so stunning

Haha, nice. I hadn't thought of the auto updates... I would've been wondering next week why everything went to low quality again. I actually just got my 512GB Samsung SD card today, so I haven't saved hardly anything on the DAP yet. I was going to go with the SanDisk 400GB but the extra space will be nice

Just wishing I hadn't wasted money on the Dragonfly Red. Going to use it for a paperweight now that I hear the incredible difference in sound quality.

I did try playing a few DSD files I obtained, and didn't notice a lot of difference. Although I'm really new to this so it probably is noticeable to others.

Hey just wanted to let you know that your advice worked perfectly. I have 1,408 Tidal files stored on my 512GB card taking up 43.3GB. All the downloaded “M” masters play at 96KHz. Interesting, the others play at like 88.2 or something

Along with my FLAC and DSD’s, I’m using 188GB out of 512GB

Do any experts have any advice on whether or not to use MSEB with Audeze LCD-2’s? Some people seem to say with decent headphones you should just play the pure sound without changing it

Thanks

Any help on the below issue appreciated.

I’ve retested my micro sd card and it appears to be working fine. However, when I then insert it into my R6 Pro and hit Music Scan in the Hiby Music App, the tracks don’t add update correctly (or, at all). Do I need to do some sort of reset of the player itself and if so, how best to do this? Or, might the player be faulty?

Thanks!

Can anyone recommend an eq app I can use on Qobuz playback on a HiBy R6 pro that won't lose the hi res resolution? (Keeping the signal bit perfect within Oreo OS?)

Thanks in advance.

Can you play the tracks via Folder browsing? Perhaps your music just isn't tagged for scanning?
