Problems on my R6 after 11 months of slowly degrading battery performance, it suddenly falls sharply...

Android 6.0.1
HiBy 1.3.5
Google Play Services 19.5.30

TRIED...
Reset to factory settings.
Set all permissions in Play Services
Cleared cache

Wifi off
Bluetooth off
Using HiBy Player

See image attached.... after 2 hour's playback using Oppo PM3's (26 ohms) in non-balanced socket, battery falls to 17% then the player shuts down.

@ Joe Blogs... any new ideas on poor battery life?

I have a suspicion that the battery monitoring software may be to blame. Is there any way to reset the battery monitor?

Thanks

After a few minutes charging...
Hi,

I would try switching to battery mode 1 if it isn't there already

Let me know how that goes?

What is the differentcece between these two modes
The range of voltages wherein the batteries are considered usable. As far as I know, the later batteries that fit mode 2 have lower voltage when fully charged but also discharge to a lower voltage. I suggested mode 1 because it looked like his battery is giving out earlier than whatever mode he's in expects.

Hi, Can anyone confirm if Tidal is still displaying 48khz on the top bar when playing Downloaded Master Tracks on anything after Tidal Version 2.14?

I have new version of Tidal and it does not have that issue. Picture - Nirvana master played from offline.

I can confirm that this is working for me too, I originally reported this problem around spring and have been using version 2.11.3 ever since. I updated to the latest version of Tidal last night and can confirm offline content that I have previously downloaded all works and new content I downloaded works fine also. I assume that 96k is the highest rate the R6 can produce from a Tidal source, as I have noticed Tidal are starting to produce 192k content now?

My back panel cracked, does anyone here know a good sin to cover it up?

I'm not interested in using a case.

Scotch 2" packing tape. Heavy but see through. Works on cracked front screens as well

This is what I got in response from Amazon.
Anyone tried Amazon Music? Downloaded the app and set it to Ultra HD (which is 96kHz) and very unimpressed that Hiby is showing 48kHz in the top bar? All music on Amazon, whether CD quality or above CD, shows 48khz (as opposed to 44.1 or 96 on my local files)

The amazon app does not believe that anything other than 44.1kHz is available. We had to update the firmware on the r5 to activate whatever feelers it is using for hi-res. Expect the update to be available on the r6 soon (have you checked if you're on the latest oreo firmware?)

Once updated, ALL Amazon music will be playing at 192kHz, whether or not it is actually at that rate. That's just another problem with Amazon.

Has anyone had problems with track transitions in the Hiby music app?

Basically I'm the opposite of most people in that I want a second of silence between tracks, ie the opposite of gapless. Maybe it is a psychological leftover from the days my CD player took a second to load the next song.

Anyway, I can't get it to stop being gapless. I changed it to insert silence in the settings, but it STILL instantly changes to next song with no gap and what's worse, I swear it's clipping songs off at the so that the song cuts the last half second off and the first half second of the next song which is very jarring when you're on shuffle rather than listening to an album.
