Just got mine today. Came in 4 days (!!!) from MusicTeck via DHL Express to Estonia.
Just finished unboxing and basic setup. I'm soooooooo pleased right now! :D

A question though - how are you formatting the microSD - as part of internal or as external? If I only plan using the microSD with the Hiby, downloading Tidal offline and carrying personal flac's, it's better to use as internal, right?
“Internal” would refer to the native internal storage of the R6. If you want to store your content to the micro SD card (inserted into the R6), then you want to select “External.”

I would suggest external. Internal (or adopted storage) on Android will format the card and encrypt it to the device. You won't be able to use the sd card in any other device including a PC for faster data transfer.

The Vega 2020 arrived literally 30 minutes ago. I believe the aesthetic between Vega, Smokey Litz 4.4mm, and R6 2020 work well. It’ll take a few days to determine overall audio cohesiveness although I’m fairly certain it shall be enjoyable.

I would suggest to keep it external as it's a more well tested use case with these players and there's no issues with anything you plan above while it's kept an external drive.

@Joe Bloggs May have found a bug: the physical pause/play button doesn’t work in Amazon Music HD when the app is active on screen.

As soon as app is minimized (when you are on Home Screen), or when you are on Lock Screen, the physical play/button works fine.

Previous/Next track physical buttons work fine in all scenarios.

Could anyone else please confirm?

Yesterday I received the TPU case for New R6. Perfect fit, but R6 with the case looks more and more cheaper…

I’ve had the TPU case for several days now also and like it. Not as classy as the leather, but the protection is good and it feels good in your hand.

I would agree that it does not dissipate heat as well, but so far that hasn’t been an issue.
Pretty cool, you buy 10 of those rare HiRes stickers and get the case for free. Wouldn't be that difficulty to punch or cut holes/slots into the back.

Since the update the player really does sound better. I still prefer single ended with both Uapp and Hiby player but I could see it going the other way for others with different phones or preferences. Something that has been consistent for me it the settings for the players, Uapp with integer upsampling and the Slow roll min phase and the Hiby player with corrected min phase fast. On less than really stellar recordings/files, I could easily see a balanced preference.
