HiBy R6 2020 User Impressions

@Joe Bloggs - Will r6 2020 get global peq like the newer hiby daps? Do you also plan global eq and global gain control in future software updates?
What are you referring to differently in the second sentence from the first? (the global PEQ is a global EQ and it has a free preamp section)

A different question that perhaps you could address: When using the Hiby music app, the side (previous, pause and next) buttons do not work with the screen off and I can find no menu option to enable them. Is this normal behavior?

There's an option in the parameters of the player where you can choose to enable or not in the R6 PRO II maybe this is possible with this one too. I need to check.

Any idea on the timeline to add global PEQ via firmware update? You had replied in another thread that it was coming.

Sorry to mention you in an old thread, but I recently acquired a used unit and have an issue. The volume wheel, when being turned clockwise, often adjusts the volume in the opposite direction. (E.g. on the default setting of clockwise to increase volume, the volume decreases instead.) I find that this issue is more likely to occur when attempting to adjust multiple steps at once.

Are there any ways of troubleshooting this? Thanks in advance.

It started doing that for me as well around 2 years ago. I sadly don't know of any tips to remedy this. You could always write to Hiby and ask them.

I don't have any special insight on this hardware issue so moskwiz's advice is good. hello@hiby.com is the email address.
