Hope I'm not out of order putting this request for help out on this thread but I can't find a dedicated thread for the Hiby Crystal 6 IEM's. I bought a package of R6 2020 DAP and Hiby Crystal 6 IEM's (the IEM.S were at a giveaway price) direct from China hoping that it might be a match made in heaven. Unfortunately the most striking characteristic of the Crystal 6's is their very bright, harsh and hard sounding high frequencies. Is this normal for this model or have I just got a faulty pair? If this is a normal characteristic of this IEM has anybody got any specific EQ adjustment recommendations to at least make them pleasant to listen to?

Oh! Nice. This can help me too. A pair of Crystal 6s came with my R6 2020 but they’re so bright I haven’t listened to them much at all.
This will tame the highs and I am sure you will enjoy alot more.

I had to lower the mids (6k-10k) also and then added a bass shelf. I felt they were more harsh with the balanced cable so I use the 3.5mm. Now I like them a lot.

I would like to know how high-quality the hiby new r6 2020 dap usb-c - coax digital output is? I am looking for a digital chassis for a desktop high-end dac amp device, which can do network streaming. as I saw it, it is quite unique that a dap can use pure digital coax. and they also add a cable... because you can hardly buy such a cable anywhere. so I would be interested in the quality of this usb C - coax output, in terms of jitter, noise, disturbances. I also looked at a desktop streamer, but a model with a linear power supply costs 2x 3x as much as the hiby r6 2020, and maybe the battery source as a digital chassis is better than any wall power supply. but I don't get it.. write what you experienced?

I can't hear a difference from coax to 4.4 out balanced into my amps. Sounds great to me.

I'm going to assume like most things it depends on what it's connected to. I've been able to get it to work with my Denon receiver and my Dx7Pro, no issues with sound quality that I could detect. Connection was simple, usb-C from the R6 directly into the coax input.

I tried a few but that may be a good shout. Please let me know how you get on. Thanks
So while I was visitng my brother I was able to confirm that the setup worked with the powered apple USB-C dongle. It had to have a separate power source for the dongle or it didn't work.

With my Shanling EM5 doesn't works, there's no audio output to coaxial! I'm only get audio in the USB B port connection! Coaxial never works!!!
Maybe you have change a setting for coax ,the Hiby R6 was like that as well. The R6 2020 just works.

I'm sorry to hear that. Can I ask what cable you're using, and do you have it plugged into the coaxial input on that unit? (since it does have both an input and output of the same type)
