I got the R6 not too long ago and I have a little bit of a problem. I am at peets coffee and I try to connect to their WIFI. Usually in these kind of place, the WIFI will ask for sign-in and normally it will popped up a page where you can sign-in by entering your e-mail or info. But the R6 doesn't show me any popped up and it just got connected to the network, but when I tried to play Tidal, it won't let me play because while the WIFI is connected, I have to sign-in to get the data from the network. Anyone has this problem or solution for this?

Yup you need to open web browser to see the pop up and accept before it will connect. Cheers J

Still wouldn't show any pop up even when I opened the browser first.

I would try the sequence of open web browser then try to add the WiFi and click on the WiFi where it says Peets or the options menu might have a setting. Wierd this is strange should be the same as our phones. I can see why this doesn't make any sense.

Exactly!! Why this doesn't make any sense is why I posted in this forum. I have been using android all my life and this has never happened before.

So, I just did the same sequence as suggested by TheDeafMonk and it still just goes to "conneced" without any pop-up. Then I go to my browser and try to open "apple.com" and it just so happened to show the sign-in page lol. It is connected to the network now. Such a weird experience.

firmware update 1.50G_20220707-2350 just appeared on my player
i cant find the changelog in https://store.hiby.com/apps/help-center (still shows version 1.30G) but when i updated it said one fix was "usb 3.0 dac problems resolved".

for the past couple of months the usb dac function wasnt working on my linux system, but after update it started working again. I spent weeks trying to figure out why the r6 wasnt being detected as a USB DAC in linux, but here we are. I wish hiby had a bugtracker or something we could keep an eye on.

all's well then ends well.

Good morning, I have meze 99 classic, and I want to upgrade from my fiio x5ii. If you have any experience how is the synergy between them. How r6 sound. Are you satisfy.?
I will have a big SQ upgrade from fiio, or just another sound signature?

However, when I connect it Usb c to usb c to my iPad Pro, it’s shows it’s connected to the iPad but won’t go into the same dac mode. On the pull down everything is greyed out and it’s locked in no data transfer mode.
Any ideas???

Are you sure the cable you're using has data transfer capabilities?
I can try it on mine later.

Looks like you might need an apple usb-c to usb-a adapter and a powered hub. I don't have either one so I can't test it.
I did try it with my Fiio X3MII and it immediately goes into dac mode. Of course this isn't running off the android OS so I suspect that may require some work around.

Hope I'm not out of order putting this request for help out on this thread but I can't find a dedicated thread for the Hiby Crystal 6 IEM's. I bought a package of R6 2020 DAP and Hiby Crystal 6 IEM's (the IEM.S were at a giveaway price) direct from China hoping that it might be a match made in heaven. Unfortunately the most striking characteristic of the Crystal 6's is their very bright, harsh and hard sounding high frequencies. Is this normal for this model or have I just got a faulty pair? If this is a normal characteristic of this IEM has anybody got any specific EQ adjustment recommendations to at least make them pleasant to listen to?
