Hiby R3 Pro Portable Bluetooth DAP

My R3 pro will replace my faithful AP80 on long trips - I start one today. Although I lose the small size of AP80 - R3 pro's excellent battery/standby life and wifi-tidal makes it more a versatile wired dap. After weeks of testing (from v1.1 to v1.2) it seems pretty stable, or no worse than AP80 (v2 firmware). But I don't use R3pro for BT playback, I use my android phone for that.

Here are the usb options.

I’m guessing that you can.

Can you connect this DAP via USB to your cars USB port for music playback ?
Depending on how it works, you would either set the R3 pro to Storage mode for the car to read the music files directly from the pro for playback, or Audio mode to output USB audio to the car for rendering.

Does anyone know what language this is/want to help me get it back to English? I just opened my open-box R3 Pro to discover the device on and set to this language.

Looks like Japanese. If you swipe right at that screen you should see a menu. Click the menu item with the gear next to it and the language setting is the first choice.

Impossible to stream Qobuz or Tidal at two local gyms. Pretty frustrating.
...but not surprising.

Imagine people on a busy sidewalk. When there are just a few, there is no problem. You all avoid each other and progress is rapid. Now increase the number of people. Collisions or pavement dances start to occur and progress is slower. The more people, the slower the progress as you all try to share the available space and avoid each other.

Wireless networks are just the same.

Yeah , I have the same problem . My R6 pro has no problem streaming from the same location but the R3 pro connects to the gym WiFi but won’t stream and usually freezes where I have to restart the device . I’m not sure what the problem is.

I have zero issues streaming from the R6 Pro but I cannot with the R3 Pro at the same location in the gym .

The R6 pro acts like a phone with Android O8S.1, not installed on the R3 pro. Never had issues with phones, when streaming at local gyms. I chose the R3 pro because of smaller size, no need to carry the LG V40. Poor results so far using Wi-Fi in different locations, pretty useless since I don't download music.

I would look at the R3 Pro as primarily a portable local music and Bluetooth dap with the added benefit of streaming. If you are looking for a portable dap primarily for streaming, I would recommend the Hiby R5, especially at it's new price.

OK, that's clearly a different problem. Not sounding good for the R3 Pro.
