Indeed the PX200 II is a fine choice. Its only weak point is its rather limited isolation: impressive for its size but not the best which is also an advantage for in case of an emergency you are not cut off from the outside world.

That was a reason i guess i was considering the sennheiser hd555 since i still want to be able to hear some type of outside noise...wouldnt want some person cocking their gun behind me on the bus and not know it

The flip side to that is everyone will be able to hear what you are listening too. Ofcourse if you have good taste in music I wouldnt consider that to be particularly harmful =)

Yea, the ATH-M50s would be great if you aren't gonna use them for the gym, but otherwise, px200ii :DDD

To the OP: Have you decided what headphones to get yet?

If you get the little Sennheiser, it can sound harsh in the beginning. After some burn in time it will sound smoother. At least that is my experience...

The low end on the PX200 II is tight, smooth and present. Do not expect to be wowed since the PX200 II presents the music in a more balanced way so the bass slam will not knock you out.
