lol willitblend! Thanks i found a fiio e11 on http://www.noisymotel.com for $60.
Amps really must make a difference huh?

Also hows the clairty and sound quality on the initial pro700's like we've established it has really good bass
Atm i have my gym headphones senheiser cx175 and they're the best headphones i've used to date haha..

The DT770 are noticeably more refined. But the Pro700 aren't muddy by any means. I'd probably put it like this
DT700-Clarity=10 and bass=7 or 8
Pro700-Clarity=7 or 8 and bass=10. Compared to headphones in this price range.

The DT770 overall are going to be better sounding if thats what your after. But that doesn't mean the Pro700 are muddy. Sound quality wise the Pro700 are still a huge upgrade to what you've been using.

Don't get too excited about your amp. From my personal experience, the sound quality improvements they make aren't as significant as some people here on these forums may make it may appear for most sub-$300 headphones. However, they definitely will allow you to bass-boost like a boss to thumpingggg-rumblefest levels lol.

ymmv

It's like comparing a dull knife to a sharp knife.

hahaha cute analogy, but i wld have to kindly disagree. a dull knife is worthless while an unamped pair of headphones still performs quite well.

I would say it's like comparing a normal phone case against a glittery jeweled phone case =P both perform the job, but one may look nicer depending on the user preferences.

True, not cheap. But the Sennheiser HD800 has authority below 20 Hertz that is incredible. Once you experience it it'll stay with you. I've never heard any other headphone that comes close to what the HD800 can do down low.
