Hello all
Long time listener, first time caller
I'm looking for a set of headphones for my first serious portable sound rig
Please bear in mind I'm something of a beginner to proper sound reproduction. I'm a reject of the skullcandy/beats era
I plan on listening mainly to Drum and Bass music and Hare Krishna music (kirtan). The DnB is mostly iTunes downloaded (256kbps, 44.100kHz) and the Hare Krishna music is usually live recordings so uncompressed or high quality Mp3 (320kbps, 48.000kHz)
so far the rig is an iPhone 4 or my trusty Iriver ihp-140 plugged into a Fiio e11. the iPhone is connected with FiiO L1.
I've noticed most people have recommended the beyerdynamic dt770 for DnB but i'm after something smaller and more portable
I have my eye on something like the Sennheiser HD25s or the AIAIAI tma-1. I've read positive reviews of both but I'm still not sure which ones suit my needs best based on this rig
I'd prefer not to spend over £200 is possible.
Any help would be appreciated. Feel free to ask any more question if I've missed any info
