HEDD Announces HEDDphone With AMT Technology

The ecp DSHA-3F* does not, IMHO, have enough grunt power to develop the bass capability of the HEDDphone.
Just ordered the SMSL SP200 THX AAA 888 amp for reserve power and to further test "the hypothesis".

[*NOTE: Am currently driving the ATH-ADX5000 (to perfection) with the DSHA-3F.]

The RME ADI2 Pro drives them pretty goodness.
Really surprised not only how well it does but that it doesn’t have as much traction in our circles.

Meanwhile, I have the [budget] S.M.S.L. SP200 THX AAA 888 amp driving the HEDDphone. Plenty of reserve power and lots [and lots] of detail.
Tidal Masters: Pat Metheny, Secret Story, "Rain River". Low gain, volume at 2:00. Bass lines are in the firm grip of this unassuming little solid state.

The SP200 lacks the ultimate refinement and spatial largesse of the DSHA-3F, but for the money it performs solidly, both technically and musically, well beyond its purchase price. [It does handle the bass better than the ecp, too.]

With the SP200, it's like listening to "music[al recording] in the raw" [a good thing].

After about 25 to 30 hours of break-in, the SMSL SP200 has opened up nicely, proving a respectable match for the HEDDphone.
4-pin XLR to speaker bananas adapter cable [4x 22.5 AWG UPOCC copper] scheduled to arrive tomorrow, and the Qinpu A-1.0X integrated is ready to go!

Got the 4-pin XLR-to-speaker-bananas adapter today [UPOCC 22.5 AWG copper].

Am running the HEDDphone from the Qinpu A-1.0X integrated [100 WPC into 8 ohms, Class AB].

At last!, I am finally tapping the true capabilities of these headphones: overall soundstage is appreciably larger in all directions, with the scale of each individual element also appreciably larger. Separation, layering, pinpoint image placement are truly exceptional. The soundstage is more spherical, with a nice wraparound effect [sounds coming from behind the head]. Bass is rock solid, deep, articulate and authoritative.

Will try to post some pictures later.
