Should have them by Saturday. I can't stop looking at them, they looked good in my head when I was designing them but they turned out so much better than I expected.

I'm just afraid they're going to have fitting issues and then I'm going to have to send them back

This thread needs more pictures though, I'm interested to see graj's and everyone elses once they get them :P

Well I got mine

The comfort on these things alone makes them worth the money. I do wish i'd done open close mouth impressions on both though. I was talking to the lady while she did them, but I did more open/close on the left one and it fits a lot better. Not that the right one doesnt fit well, but when i open my mouth the right one sorta dislodges just a tiny bit. I'm not sure if it's worth sending them back in as sound doesnt really change when I do it.

Aside from that, these definitely do have a totally different sound signature than my old triple fi's. I do agree they sound more along the lines of the SE530's, which isn't bad it's just something I'll have to get used to. I had to change my EQ on my player though to push up the treble and they sound really good now, still not triple.fi sound in terms of quality but definitely not bad sound at all. Keep in mind I have the C3's so I did purchase more low end, so lower treble is not to be unexpected. I can say though that they do sound better the more you listen to them, whether that be breaking them in or my brain is just transitioning over to the new sound sig. I've been listening to them while i've been writing this and I cant help but keep thinking they're sounding better by the minute.

They look gorgeous.. I mean HY did a truly incredible job on the shells. The customization on these just blows the competition in this price range out of the water. They turned out exactly how I asked for, in every bit of detail. You can tell that even with the huge amount of orders they've been getting, they won't rush it or cut corners, so be prepared to wait and be pleased with the result.

Overall, I would say these are worth the money (especially with the cash back from microsoft) and are perfect for those just jumping into the customs market. If your universals irritate your ears and you wear them more than 4 hours a day (like me) then these should be on your to buy list.

To clarify, these are worth the wait. Ignore my previous rant, it's hard to wait a month for something expensive you purchased over a month ago (especially when you're constantly reminded of them while yelling at your universals while you walk through the college campus buildings because they're irritating your ears) but they will turn out well.

edit: whoa lol, I just plugged them into my computer and started up an akon song in spotify and the bass is like overpowering. How are you other C3 guys overcoming this? Do these pretty much require some EQ adjustments (which spotify doesn't give). They weren't kidding about max low end!

With the right EQ adjustments, these sound amazing though. The low end kills my triple.fi's. I can actually feel the bass in these.

Mine were delivered today as well. I'm out of town, though, and won't be back for another week, so I can't comment on audio quality yet.

However, my parents sent me a picture(it's very blurry) but the case looks very nice and the shells and custom art looks spot-on.

Do those who already receive theirs, intend to swap out their stock cable for the ES2, or UE customs cables? Will such a swap require no further effort than a simple pull-out and re-insertion of the new cable, i.e. no filing, no shortening of the pins necessary?

The Hearyourself.com, Ultimates ears Custom, and Westones ES series cables all have identical connectors!! I Have all three and they all fit my HY C-3's perfectly.Absolutely NO MODS are required.

UE ans Westone have the most color choices but the Distance from the Monitors to the Y is longer on the sotck HY's and a little more comfortable for my big neck.
Overall I would choose the UE for best SQ. I Have the UE whites on my c-3's right now.

Sweetness. I'm leaning toward these customs now... Waiting for the cashback again

the more I follow this thread, the more I want the C3 Pro's!
unfortunately, the currency rate ATM is the only thing that's been holding me back to contact Andre and order my very own C3 Pro's...

anyways. a few hours ago, while sitting in front of my laptop and staring desperately at the hearyourself.com site, suddenly the idea for custom logos came into my mind. yeah, why not make the logo now, I thought.

basically, the idea for the logo came when I picked up my TF10's from the bed and noticed the UE logos on them. I like the way they made the conjoined UE logo, so I might as well try it for my initials.

a few hours, couple glasses of iced tea, and a few Dave Koz tracks later, the logo's done. but what about the color for the earpieces?

having seen many custom IEM's in this site with awesome-looking colors and/or graphic schemes, I decided to go with UE Translucent Deep Red for the right earpiece, and UE Translucent Blue for the left earpiece.

and here they go:

dn-logo-blue.jpg

comments and/or suggestions pertaining to the logo and/or colors are very much anticipated and welcomed

They looked nice, classy and the red for right and blue for left is very purposeful...great job. Maybe you can play around with the color for the fonts? Dun always use white, change to some other color.
