@ ralliart:
thx bro!
smily_headphones1.gif

I actually experimented with some different font colors back then, but I wanted a color that looks overall simple & neutral, to give that 'custom UE' look... you know, their translucent bodies engraved with only the 'UE' logo... that's what I pretty much wanted...
maybe I should consider light grey and/or light silver, yes?

@ brandon:
thx for tip, man! I'll keep that in mind

oh and BTW, perhaps any suggestions for font color?

Hm, my first thought would be to go with white for the logo like you have above. I'm just thinking grey might not fit too well with the blue and red. A silver might be cool though, you might do like I did and photoshop it a bit to get a visual :P

BTW, going from the triple fi's to these, if you love the TF's your first thought is going to be that you hate these. There's bass in the TF's, but you feel the bass in the C3's and not as much of a treble. But give them some time and you'll love em, I know I do every day I listen to them. Either my brain is transitioning or they're breaking in.

wanted to do more photoshopping but I guess my eyes are way too tired already, it's 3:30AM here ATM, I'll be having a class at 11:20AM until 3:00PM...

will try to do some photoshopping during the class, though...

lol, that's the spirit. Let me know what you come up with. The logo looks cool though

btw, anyone have any tips for cleaning ear wax out of these? The holes are smaller than any i've seen before. I think I remember reading to use a pin, but im afraid i'm just gonna end up pushing the earwax further up the tube.

I agree. I think the white looks better than the silver.

I think a pin would work. try dragging the earwax along the inner wall of the tube with the pin. I also think that positioning the IEM upside-down while cleaning (ie. tube facing down) would help the earwax come out easier and prevent it from getting pushed further inside?

Well, the way they have the tubes is they aren't clear with the body, so it's hard to really tell where the earwax is.. I've always cleaned them with the tubes facing down, but I still fear i'll push the wax up without knowing

I've always had the same earwax paranoia, that's why now I clean my triple.fi's once every 3-4 days

Any current owners (or would-be owners) intend to pair their C-3s with a Mini3 amp? Does the "boomy-ness" of the C-3s mean one should choose a Mini3 op-amp that is NOT so bassy to "balance" things out?

The silver might look better if the artwork were bigger, but given the tiny size of the artwork on any IEM, the white will help it stand out more.

Really hate that hearyourself can only make artwork with one color. Have an awesome 3 color ram's head I was looking to use for a backup pair of C3's that just doesn't look the same in all black. Darn!

I preffer my Travagans Colors with my C-3. The "Bassiness" of the Fiio os a little much for them. Both the Nuforce and Total Airhead have a really nice wide un-colored presence but are bigger than the Trav. or Fiio.I have ordered a Fiio E-5 but I expect the bass to be a little more forward as is the case with it's little bother
