I've seen a couple of Sennheiser Momentums around lately. Any headfier would be able to tell I'm a headfier I think, I walk around with Fiio X3 > Ultrasone Signature DJ's in Newcastle.
I go to a pretty large university (~40,000 students) and there are an infinite number of Beats. I have seen one guy with a pair of Sennheisers I don't recognize, about four or five ATH-M50s (not including myself or my roommate) and a Grado SR60i (and this is belongs to one of my friends). Everything else can be summed up with Beats, Bose, Apple and Skullcandy. I have to say, I'm rather disappointed that I don't see more quality headphones or IEMs with so many people around me.
Try visiting Head-Fi university... you will be happy and the people there are mostly happy xD if only...
If only that was a thing....... I'd be there as fast as possible

Audio engineering maybe?Speaking of that, is there any course that one can take to get a job in the headphone industry?

Audio engineering maybe?
i'd start off with electrical engineering
but beware: if you are a believer in quantum-treated, angel-blessed $1000 cables, you're gonna have some very frustrating revelations within your first year :veryevil:
