Saw a HD448 and a Momentum at SF's Union Square yesterday.

ATH M50's are some hard, durable plastic. I couldn't tell you the exact details (due to not knowing), but they're built strong. They also have metal in the headband, I'm pretty sure. My friend owns M50s.

The m50 are mostly plastic but trust me, it's built like tank! As for budget friendly amp, there is the CMOYBB, E6/07K

I flew threw O'Hare today (my usual connection is Atlanta, but there were some scheduling issues), and spotted a UE6000 and a couple V-Modas. The rest were the usual airport faire.

V-Moda were meant to be a stylish headphone. The M-80 fits and looks fine on me as I'm 13 and I don't have watermelon of a head.
