Open headphones in a library seems to not be a good combo... for your neighbors

saw some bose qc15's today. i was shocked as those things are worth $300. anyone know how good they are. for $300 i am expecting them to sound as good as the average pair of headphones worth $100.

I demoed them one time at an Apple store one time... The noise canceling actually works really well, but the disadvantage is that it tends to make them pretty sibilant... Especially on classical music, the violins get pretty piercing... But again, if you're looking for NC, they work well for that.
.....Also, isn't $32 kind of a lot for earplugs?
I thought today would be a great day for headphones. You see, I am competing in First Tech Challenge, a robotics competition, and usually there are smart people building robots. I saw 4 pairs of Beats and 6 pairs of skullcandy. >.>
Amusing, but I just meant that Bose headphones have their niche... Also, isn't $32 kind of a lot for earplugs?
Assuming you're not being sarcastic, that's $32 for 200 pairs of earplugs, so the price comes out to be $0.16 per pair, which is a helluva lot cheaper than what I normally see at concerts (typically $1 or $2). Though, why you'd buy earplugs at a metal concert, I'll never know...
