Of late seen a few pico being sold in the used market. Price is not much less than the price of a new one. They can really hold their value. Buying one, new or used, has little resale value risks.

It comes up every so often, and of late I saw quite a few up for sale. But you have to be patient as the availability may not be constant. See the following thread: Amplification For Sale / Trade - Head-Fi: Covering Headphones, Earphones and Portable Audio

I guess some prefer not to wait so the used market is the answer.

I received my payment request for my black Pico with DAC and 3' USB cable last night. I've sent payment via Google Checkout and now the real waiting game begins. I'm actually on vacation for the 1st 2 weeks of September so it would be fantastic if I got it during that period. BTW - by my rough calculation, I am (was) #569 on the list. There have been some cancellation requests and other things may have altered the order, but regardless, I hope to see and hear it soon!

When using the internal USB DAC, low gain is sufficient to reach the full output power of the amp. With a low-output source using the analog input high gain might be needed.
