So at this point I think that it's safe to claim that Pico is not FOTM.

FOTY?

Sorry, FOTM, FOTY? Not up on my acronyms :frowning2:

Thanks for the clarification...who knows? definitely not FOTM. Anything having to do with technology could certainly be the FOTY, I guess....

Does Pico have protections from "over charge" and "over discharge"?
Especiall I'm interesting in "over discharge". I mean, Does it cause damage to the batterry that running Pico for burn-in and its battery comes empty?

Hi,

Yes, basic protection against over-discharge (and dangerous over-charge) is included in all Li-Ion/Li-Poly battery packs.

But a feature unique to the Pico, for high end USB DAC/Amps, is proper charging of the battery for longevity and safety.

BTW
Was there any improvement lately on the quality of it ?
Like a new version or what so ever ?

And
I wonder, does the fact it connect to a USB doesn't decrees SQ ?
I know that usually Optical is better, why doesn't it have an optical input ?

Optical input would be a different design, requiring the DAC to be powered from a battery instead of the USB port. For top DAC chips this takes considerable power, so the battery would need much more capacity than the Pico's (about 10x as much) to get a good battery life.

Just got mine. Currently have it set up in my main rig plating a 45RPM cut of Metallica's Master of Puppets.

Does it need running in?

should I expect to receive an email response from Justin? I emailed him and placed a pre-order on this thread a few days back, and don't know whether to expect a response or not?

Justin periodically checks the thread for new orders. He'll write it down, don't worry

If he does somehow miss it, you do have it posted so he could just slot you in too eh?
