Not sure.  I thought you might need a 4-pin XLR.

Does anyone make a 4-pin-xlr to female trs 1/4 ?  Could there be a reason why, if they are not produced ?

I have not been able to find the item.

Thank you for good information.
I requested quotation.

I also recommend sticking with the Fedex deal they are going to offer. I also got the quotations for USPS and Fedex worked out to be better. UPS, don't bother it with it regardless of what the situations is. I got mine shipped here to Mississauga, Ontario.

After I posted that, I came to the same conclusion...

Eddiek997 is using an Onix tube amp that can have the ground (negative wires) summed together.  However, in my experience, the 3-Pin XLR connectors are used less frequently in home audio, headphone audio situations.  The 3-pin XLR, however, is used quite a bit when it comes to pro audio in setting up all the amps, mixers, etc.

Eddiek997, some of my time is freeing up.  We should talk about options again.

^^ Yep, will have to get an international quote though, can't just order them straight off the web store. You have to email them http://emotiva.com/faq/international_orders.

They offer Fedex/USPS, though Fedex is a good deal cheaper in this case. Not saying much though, as it still cost ~230 buckaroos including shipping.

$230 for the Emotiva amp *shipped* to Canada is not a good deal?  How so?

In the very end, how much did you end up paying including boarder costs ect ect? …….if you don't mind sharing I mean.

Yea, no problem. I actually posted this information back in December.

I bought the Emotiva during the Winter Sale when it was going for $179. With everything combined, it cost me $267. This included shipping, freight, brokerage fees, taxes, customs...when you ask them for a quote, they will provide you a breakdown of that cost and exactly how much each part is going to cost. Also I asked and made sure that weren't going to be any random surprise COD fees at the door. They said, whatever's the final price listed on that quote is what you'll pay for. No more, no less. Once you pay, that's it. Fedex will deliver and you just have to sign at the door and collect it. Very simple and straight forward.

I previously have done my own brokering and so know my rates. In this case, it was relatively cheap and I ended up going with the Fedex - definitely better than other deals.

Hi Burju,

Quote:
2 days passed, and I have not heard any audible changes or lack of power driving my sound system. Everything works fine except my subwoofer still has that humming sound when all gears are turned off.

My next test would be to take the humming subwoofer to a different AC outlet - at a friends house or at work - not in your home.  If you have the same humming problem there, I would conclude that the subwoofer has an internal problem, not a power quality problem.

If the problem persists, no matter where you go to test the subwoofer, there's nothing a power conditioner could do to make the humming stop.

Disappointing as it must be to have not affected a cure, at least you know that the LC1200 can handle a pretty big load without introducing any audible changes.  I recommend you keep it for the protection and longevity of your gear, even though it didn't fix your subwoofer hum.

Send me a PM to follow-up, if you like.  (We're off topic, except for people fighting noise problems with their Emotiva amps.)

Thanks! That sale price is a steal. At regular price I guess somebody would be looking at $300-$310 roughly after its all said and done.
