here is the link of this manufacturer

I plan to place Burson AB160 buffer include to my rig and I found this product.

Have any head fiers using this product. Please share your experience. Technically compare with burson this one should be better follow by its description.

"It has an input impedance too high to measure, output impedance is a couple ohms, bandwidth is to 60Mhz, slew rate is a couple hundred V/microsecond."

I see they use the black version of the Par-Metal 20-series amplifier cases

Same one I used for my Bijou and Opus (except I used silver).  Looks interesting though!  I'll watch for updates.

There are no capacitors or resistors in the signal path. There is no potentiometer in the signal path.

It uses photo cells to control the volume. It does not use optocouplers.

Huh?

I think we need to see a schematic.

Though I wouldn't buy it because of its name.

Sort of like how any organization with the term "freedom" in its title is anything but.

Ha ha Uncle Erik. The name is a bit over the top. So Thank you for your advice about the cable. I borrowed my friend cable and try to listen to it side by side. It has a very subtle difference so I decided not to change the cable. Today I listened to my friend's K1000. It's amazing headphone I have ever listened. I found on your profile you have it in your headphone collection such a lucky. Thanks much Uncle Erik.

Uncle Erik..What do you think about Burson AB 160 buffer?

When looking at active preamps in this class you gotta' take a look at the classic Aragon preamps:

Hey Guys, stumbled across this thread. The description is accurate. 2 video buffers and one photocell in the signal path. Has a balance control too! Balance is stable and now I can do remote but it is expensive.

The name may seem arrogant but that is not the case.......we have fun at The Horn Shoppe.....the day I built the first one I was shocked. I sat there listening for a couple hours before Helen got home, knowing it would have to be sold. I had the same feeling  when I heard the first The Horn (another decent name story)....it had to be sold!

So, Helen comes home, I'd not even thought about names.....it was only a few hours old although I had built parts of the circuit for more than 17 years. She sits down...I put on John Prine. In 15 seconds she says....."I am not sure this  (the current config. except for pre amp)  stereo ever sounded this good". I said.........."ain't that the truth" and said "and that is it's name". And Helen laughed. Yea, we knew it may come across wrong to some folks....but we are "honey badgers". And we all know "honey badger don't care" :)

So anyway, arrogant ain't us but "tongue in cheek" certainly is. Hell, I named my tiny speaker "The Horns". Which caused my buddy to spit his beer out (literally!) when I answered his question as to what I should call them. They were sitting between two pair of stacked La Scalas :)

The name is only for fun....and of course to upset some folks who might not get a little teasing. That ain't y'all is it

Hope this post was ok fellas................I've built 48 now. No one has sent one back....yet.

Dear Ed,

Thank you so much for your responding on this thread. I understand how difficult to named your creation. I am an artist and most of the time title is one of the thing that came out the last. Sometimes it's very difficult to name something that you would feel that this creation would defo go beyond once at the moment you still alive.

My group of collective artists we named our group "As Yet Unnamed/ Not Yet In Progress". Isn't it funny? I have read those impression on your web's forum and they seems a lot of positive impressed by your product.

Do you ship worldwide?

Thanks and hope all is well for you.

Best

Thanks MAII, 100 to 240 volts is no problem. They are all over the world already. Please contact me via email so that it does not appear I showed up to "make a sales advertisement".The wait is quite long.  I only want to answer questions and correct misconceptions on other peoples forums so that it does not appear I'm "using them"..

You must register for mine to view images. I reject all unless I get an email with your user name and PW. A link to my email is on my web site. You have to "work for it" :) I'm getting >100 spammers a day trying to register.

If this post is not appropriate just delete it................
