It's pretty big, yes. Sturdy :)

Update: added a pic of the cable....for scale.iFi cable.png

Sturdy is how we do! We like build quality :)

My Zen Can is showing a lot of cross-talk. I thought I had a faulty unit so I returned it for a new one, same thing. If I plug out the cable to the left driver on my hd650s and play audio over that channel I can clearly hear it in the right cup. Is this deliberate? It is paired with my Zen Dac and 3D is off.

Is anyone else experience crosstalk? It's pretty easy to test for.

I checked on this and should have an answer from the team for you soon!

I've tested mine and it has no crosstalk left/right. Is that what you meant?

If you plug out one the left driver and then send audio only to that driver do you still hear the audio in the right driver?

I don't. I'm using the balanced output. No sound whatsoever from the other driver.

Pretty buzzed for this stack to arrive, trying to figure out how my setup is gonna work.
So I have my PC > Zen DAC > Balanced 4.4mm > Zen AMP
Where do I plug my speakers in this setup? (iLoud Micros') Maybe RCA out of the Zen DAC? Would that also mean I leave the toggle on the back of the DAC to Variable so my speakers don't blow up when I play music?

Let me know how you've been enjoying it! Did you happen to find a preferred set-up yet?

Has anyone compared the Zen pair with the older Ican/idac?

Personally speaking, I haven't yet since I'm a comparably new member of the iFi team! I wouldn't be surprised if someone around these parts has them both and chimes in though!

Debating again which headphone amp to buy for my MacBook Air - I was thinking the iDSD Signature but splurged on something else that has put that level of spend on hold for a bit! Is the Hip Dac or Zen DAC a better option in the lower budgets? Portability not a concern as such, it'll stay with my Mac in its bag when not in use, otherwise on my desk or kitchen table for the most part. I'm struggling to see how they differ!
