I'm considering purchasing the Grado SR325i's. I'm assuming to get full benefit I'll need to amplify them. I'd appriciate words of wisdom from any Head-Fi'r who own the 325i's. Amp, no amp, what amp? Price is a consideration since the 325i's are not inexpensive, however I do want them to perform.

i got the ms2i...kinda similar to the sr325i

a pa2v2 should warm and mellow it out a bit. or if you want a home amp, perhaps an entry level tube amp will make em shine.

Violectric V90 - somewhat affordable and the gain can be set perfectly for the 325is - (-6dB on both channels)

Warms up the 325i a bit which is exactly what you need,.

Not only that but it will drive any headphone you end up with down the track by playing around with the gain.

It will also accept two different source line-ins - not too head amps do not that these days.

Check out the specs too on Violectric.De - very powerful all round - here's some pics to give you
an idea of it's size too. Quite portable for dragging from place to place.

Get something that you will probably never end up selling.
