How are they comfort wise, I have some 225's and they are fairly comfortable is it more or less the same?  Also how is the weight.

For me, same weight as 325.  I put on G-Cush so ...... more comfy, for me.  It's me, me, me.

I think they might be a little lighter than the 325's. They feel the same though, I immediately put the g-cush on them.

Now they really look like mini PS1000's!

Not at all really. They have this neat matte finish that I really like.

Ahh yes, completely forgot if Johnny Grado had given up on the chrome with the PS1000
and gone with the matte finish.

Not a listening impression but I thought I'd post this:

Visual impression of PS500 @ RMAF 2011: http://www.head-fi.org/t/575847/canjam-rmaf-2011-listening-impressions-thread/615#post_7844799

And 2 pics I took at RMAF - opposing lighting conditions to show the finishing on the driver housing. (Re-posting from my post in the RMAF impressions thread.) Click either pic for a larger version.

Grado PS500 and PS1000, 1 of 2

Grado PS500 and PS1000, 2 of 2 (Note: though this pic makes the PS500's driver housing look like brushed aluminum, it definitely wasn't and felt more like a graphite-like material to the touch)

Time for an 'Awesome Foursome' review I say!

Ahh... today's a good day. Got my T5p back from Beyerdynamic service fixed and also got this lil' guy in from Moon Audio. ^o^

I'm not entirely fond of the new look, I think the lettering jumps out at you too much but being engraved is definitely nicer than whatever it is they did with the HF2s.

Now to burn...
