How does the Grado SR80i or SR125i work with the Fiio E7 and E9 combo?

Also how does the Beyerdynamic DT770/80 and Dt880/250 work with them?

It would really be helpful if anyone could help me with these questions ... Anyone with experience? or without

Thanks in advantage :) ... Hope that you can help

Those headphones should work well with the E7/E9.  What music genres do you listen to?

Okay, then I would go with DT770 as it has a nice bassy sound signature.

agreed, DT770's, or maybe Denon D2000's

The FiiO combo does a decent job with these

Definitely the low-impedance DT770's, or possible DT990s as well (although be careful of sibilance issues with some models)

not necessarily low impedance:)
E9 can handle all ohm versions, it's the 8741 Wolfson DAC in E7 which is holding back..

I think Grado's are nice for jazz, acoustical and rock, but the other music styles you mention, definitely not. Those genre's are the reason people don't recommend you Grado's

If you're concerned about the E7's DAC functionality, then might I suggest an upgrade to the HRT Music Streamer II?  It's a pure DAC that's USB powered and it offers a nice upgrade to the E7.

No no, I don't think OP is concerned with that:)

I'm not also, I have NFB-3

Right, that was your post not the OP's.  I really need to pay attention some times.

For the sake of not making another thread because it's sort-of on topic... other than a charging dock, are there any benefits to having the e7/e9 combo?  I can't really find anything, and my search skills might just be failing.

OT:  From what I know of Grados, they are lacking in the bass department unless you do some modifications, so I would say go with the other pair simply because much of the music you posted is made better with deeper bass.

Charging dock?  For the E7 or do you mean for the ipod?  The Fiio combo's benefit is providing both a good sound source(E7) and powerful desktop amplification(E9).  Almost any quality dynamic headphone will benefit when used with this combination.
