Can't wait for the mac version of chrome to be released. Looks like a great browser. I like the independent tab concept.

Good question.
They both use the WebKit rendering engine, but not necessarily the exact version. Hence there may be security differences (I don't know).

Core 2 Duo E6300 at around 2.4ghz, 2gb of RAM. It's not that slow.

Could be the extensions I have, though I don't have THAT many...

I just upgraded my computer to 2GB ram and it still takes a good 5 minutes for Chrome to load.
1.73Ghz Pentium 4 processor and Windows XP SP2 here.

Interesting. On my laptop with XP. It took 2.5 seconds to start up - just tried it. Half a minute seems a bit abnormal if his Chrome is starting right up. I think it's a personal PC problem.

I'm not really a firefox proponent. I just think it's much better at this point. Down the road, who knows.

I like some of the features but there's one thing that always pisses me off - tabbing isn't optimized. Looks like it only uses 2 connections for all tabs, rendering isn't done until WAY past TTFB (time to first byte) and tabs don't load at the same time.

I've had times where I stopped one tab before others started to load and they stopped loading as well. Very buggy.

I'm using it some of the time just because FF3 is still a pig on memory.
