Thanks for the suggestions everybody. Turns out my brother got the Sennheiser HD 280s awhile ago from Guitar Center. Apparently they had a sale and he got them for a decent price with a coupon. He apparently loves them, so I guess all is good then!

However, I would love to try out the DJ100 for my studio personally, it sounds they are well liked.
