I saw this earplug designed for swimming... And thought that IF it could be adapted to be an IEM ear-tip, it could provide a perfect seal, and a tight "grip" for a TWS during all kinds of activities... And it would mold itself to the individual ear canal; like a custom, but really be one size fits all? Sure it would take some work to develop for an IEM or TWS... But an "inflatable ear-tip" might just give a perfect seal.

Maybe not the right place to post, but this is the last place I saw folks talking about the difficulty of getting the right fit of TWS... With REX, etc..... (And this is how my mind looks at one thing, and thinks of another... LOL)

Thanks for the idea. I will certainly pass it on to those above me. Sounds like a great idea.

Cheers!!

Scratching my head here. Sony’s tip selection in the box for their XM5’s, don’t even come close to fitting me??? My grab bag saved the day, otherwise useless…
Very strange…. Once proper tips are found, they might be my top sounding 👍
Yeah, I picked them up at clearance, but for $299 msrp, a real letdown…
Yeah, same here. Couldn’t use the stock tips. The Large fitted me the best but they were slipping out after a while by just sitting at my desk.
Silicone tips made a difference in sound and the the ANC wasn’t nearly as effective for me.

Unfortunately Sony XM6 over-ears is really just more of the same, an XM5 with folding cups. Nobel’s new over-ears are more of a push forward in sound. I just lost hope of the wh-xm6’s having an Audeze planar onboard.. Meh 😑
Yeah.. they'll charge a premium without any interesting update. I'm so happy with my Sennheiser Momentum 4's, won't be returning to Sony. Apart from the sound, battery life is the greatest thing about he headphones. I seem to charge them once a week, and that's with daily use.

Yep, They have the Audeze stuff, Philips put out the solar charging headband in a model, they could have swapp-able pads like velour style etc. They have the ANC down and seem to have the controls dialed in. Let's get a nice sound advance or some feature not just software/firmware based. Some better physical stuff in there like drivers, battery and chips. BT6.0 stuff is dropping and they have BT5.3 with 40 hours of battery no ANC in the middle of 2025. We don't need a refresh. They want that so they can boost sales up again and at the full price. Doesn't do that much for us.

I also "impulse" bought the xiaomi 15 ultra,- did not know about some of the xiaomi quirks. So somethings will be missed, and cant have it all.
Most expensive phone ever bought, mostly because its become impossible to get everything and was irritated that every phone had some feature I wanted missing.
Turns out this one also has some, but oh well.

Previous motorola "flagship" is eol after 3 years and have bluetooth issues with new devices, no wonder it was 60%off 3 years ago.

Updated my old lg g7 to lineageos android 15 and dap\phone for hiking.

Tried the camera on the ultra, and its the best I ever had, the motorola was bad from the start.

yeah if you have a phone that is APTX Lossless capable, there really isn't a reason to buy a 15 Ultra if you don't otherwise need a Phone. I got it for the camera, all the supported bluetooth codecs, since i have stuff that use LDAC, LHDC5, APTX HD, Adaptive and lossless; and to preserve my V60 as a DAP while it still has surprisingly good battery life after nearly 5 years. Bluetooth connections with the 15 ultra are solid though, including in transit.

Thank you Sennheiser.. I hadn’t used my M3’s over 6 months. I went to charge them and no charge. The case would charge, but not the buds. Long story short, I found out the batteries would go into a voltage state too low to recover from if left uncharged for a long period.. I sent them in for warranty and they just sent me M4’s…. We’ll see if they’re new, but if refurbished I’m good with that. I had the 18 months, with maybe 10 hours on them..

same issue here, but i did the mistake of going through my shop..
problem was I got the mtw3 for 700nok\60euro new 18 months ago, some mispricing. They only wanted to refund that sum, but had to complain and paid a small sum for the mtw4.

But that battery issue was really bad..not used for some months and brick if you dont opoen them up and "jump" start them.

Sadly international warranty and tax+shipping would also be expensive.

There are a couple involved YouTube vids on how to removed the batteries and jumpstart them…. Seems lots of people are actually successful doing it.. 😂
Gives me hope for mankind 👍

I'm pretty tough on my TWS, and I've needed to send every tws I've ever had in for warranty repair. The brands have been Sony, Technics, Sennheiser, B&W, Noble, and B&O. Every brand, but B&W has been great! Noble, of course, was the best consumer experience. And B&W took a long time, and communications were not that good. Technics gets a shout-out, since I sent my TWS in after they took a nice spin in the washing machine, and they replaced them.

Had they implemented the wifi technology, I'd give them a pass. But no, they are taking the piss. If anything, they've fixed the hinge issue, which let's be honest, that's something that should have been designed the first time correctly. I wouldn't put it past Sony knowing the hinges would be flimsy, thinking the next version would be an "upgrade".

Problem is, people will continue buying the product, so it's a never ending cycle of crap.
