Just got the Noble Fokus Rex 5 and the Sound is terrific. One annoying thing that somebody higher than my tech grade around here might be able to assist me with - I can’t seem to synch media volume with my phone, ie I almost always need to double and triple tap on the buds to change the volume but I want to be able to do it on my Sony Xperia 1 IV as well the way I can with all my other buds. The weird thing is that when I’m changing codecs, occasionally it locks into LC3 and once that happens I do seem to be able to physically press my volume button on the phone with success but as soon as change to LDAC or APTX or any alternative it reverts to only being able to adjust volume by pressing the ear piece. Could anybody assist? Much thanks in advance

After messing with and finding my favorite EQ, along with the last update, at this point I just reach for the AZ100. Don't miss the MTW4 sound anymore, and the Elite 10 v2 are also great, but those will just be for the winter months with their tactile buttons for glove use.

Just the best all around package I've had for sure. I use them at home for phone calls, and on the go all the time. Whether a dog walk, an errand, to bring to my gf's if I want to use them in bed after she goes to sleep, to anytime I'm taking mass transit like a bus or subway. Can't be beat. In the last week they have been my go to for dog walks, and taken them into the city, and just feel quite content. I definitely want a set that has just a slightly upgraded sound, but not by losing the other features, and this SQ is still quite impressive for TWS. So that will be a bit of a wait.

I'd love to see a brand with the technology capacity of Technics make a three driver hybrid - 1dd 2ba. I think that will be a while, but who knows. After I get the Lime Ears Maris to be my TOTL go to IEM for any playlist, I am going to try to lay low from the hobby for a while - lost too much money on it the last few years buying and selling things - auditioned a ton of IEM at CanJam NYC this year and also at Bloom Audio last month for a couple of hours, so I feel pretty content once I get the Maris as I know what is out there, and I know the hype train is just way way too easy to jump on in our consumeristic hobby.

Idk, Technics probably spent quite a bit developing that unique single driver…
Kind of like the Pi8 with its nanotube driver. They went from two drivers in the Pi7, to one in the Pi8. A single full range high quality driver, seems to still be viable 👍

I agree with you. The last update has certainly improved the sound and they get more ear time than anything else I have.

What are everyone's favorite BT cans these days? PX8, Bathys, Apollo ? Might grab a set before the tariffs kill the market.
The Apollos are best from what I have heard or owned. I have read very good things about the Dali BT but they are expensive.

Also for the price, the Audeze Maxwell are very impressive (although technically made for gaming).

Hope that helps! :beerchug:

I had the Apollo and liked them quite a bit. Sold them for some IEMs. I have wondered how the Maxwell might compare.

Final SV review. Basically less features but very good sound for the $99 and good tips an ANC trying to help a bit but not at the detriment of the SQ. Mics don't sound that bad either. Seems like a good deal.
