On sale right now for $169 CAD versus $279. Full MSRP is definitely to high.

The old model was comfy but larger than the XM5 for width and length but possibly not for depth. Unfortunately they did not post the actual dimensions like they do for new model. The weight is definitely lower and a slightly smaller driver so I am hopeful they are slightly smaller especially in the depth of the shell.

At $169 they might be worth giving a try. That's cheaper than the Soundcore Sleep model.

Alternative A2DP Driver

Release Notes (Version 1.5.0.62)

https://www.bluetoothgoodies.com/a2dp/preview/

Key changes since the last official release (version 1.5.0):

Bug Fixes:

  • AAC CODEC bitrate was limited to 250kbps (for 48kHz sampling, stereo) even if the headphones can support a higher bitrate.
  • AAC CODEC could cause more CPU activity than necessary.
  • A2DP connection may fail on devices that have limitation on streaming data packet size (i.e., devices with an unusually small MTU for the AVDTP media channel).
New Features:

  • Integrated offline FAQ to the program.
  • Added explanation of device errors in case of A2DP connection failure.

I need some advice, being fairly new at the noise isolation game (long time wired user here).

Reading online, are the Bose Quietcomfort Ultra still(?) the best earbuds at suppressing noise? Or the Sony WF XM5, or others?

The noise I'm talking about are mostly human voices, and especially barking/crying dogs.

FWIW, no ANC works particularly well on frequencies above 500-1000 Hz. They do work pretty well on lower/mid frequency background noise (like an airplane or train) but higher frequency (like a small dog bark or crying), not so much...

Would you recommend the JBL Tour 3 Pro???? Based on your experience with JBL
I was pleasantly surprised by them. But I think they should be $200-250. They're the best JBL has made to date imo. But I did sacrifice them due to having way too many buds right now. I'd say wait, knowing that there other brands putting new ones out soon.

As far as we know, the Noble Triumph and Prestige are among the best TWS in terms of audio quality. For those who have tried them or own them, are they as loud? Generally, TWS are weak in terms of maximum volume. I have had many and so far the ones that satisfy me the most are the B&W Pi8, very similar to wired iems for maximum volume and without distortion. Are the Noble similar?

Just to say that I have lost a lot of life-time in this thread and it looks like I am about to lose a chunk of money as I, ahem, invest...

I came looking to buy some anc iems - my only experience has been the Sony WF-1000XM4s - I have grown to find them muffled and woolly, which could be the earbuds, and buying replacements for these is not easy.

Anyway, I came here to thank you all for your comments, sad to report I have very much enjoyed reading about 200 pages of wireless iem information, opinion, and knowledge.

So, despite there being a new pair of wireless Noble's on the horizon, I have today ordered the Triumph's and I am very excited. They seem to be the most agreed upon iem on here. I might also get the Nothings as my anc companion, and then I better stop reading as I have no doubt the new Nobles will be very well received on here .... 😬 ... this may mean more investment...
