Can anyone suggest a pair of gaming wireless headphones better than the current Audeze Maxwell wireless? Curious to know if there are any LCD-GX owners here?
Razer Seirin bluetooth mic + open back headphones will crush any headset. You can get HD800s used for the same price as GX and its in another league for gaming. Can anyone suggest a pair of gaming wireless headphones better than the current Audeze Maxwell wireless? Thanks! Money savedI tried when I was preparing my review. The occlusion was pretty bad unfortunately, too much for me to bear even just a short distance like running for the train

Now I hope they will not get remote triggered by Bose to die the red white blinking light death (long-ish story and conspiracy theory available over on reddit

I experienced issues with the app connectivity, similar to this person. Although the earbuds were still connected to Bluetooth, there were times when the app wouldn't connect properly or would disconnect. The active noise cancellation (ANC) worked well, but I thought the pass-through feature could use some improvement. The sound quality was good and the equalizer (EQ) had a significant impact on the sound. I really liked the aesthetics and design. I used the default ear tips, but I think larger tips might have been more comfortable as I had to adjust them in my ears from time to time.
Overall, the aesthetics were impressive and justified the $400 price, but there are less expensive earbuds that perform better in other aspects that you would expect from earbuds in this price range. Returned them yesterday.

Dunno what it is, but i cannot get DPP's to sound "good".
Redone the profile a few times but the graph it produces is always the same. But the sound signature i end up with even maxing out the in-app EQ is just lifeless.
No idea what is going on --- But the sound is just dull, lacking any dynamics and really closed in. Especially things like light / airy female vocals (Late Night Alumni kinda thing)
A/B'ing with the Earfun AP4, the EAP's sounds so much more lively and open. I mean significantly better.
When i was doing the Masimo AAT setup and the "reveal" bit when it asks you to experience the effect .... i hate the sound --- it just becomes all mid's

Pi8 still has a few bugs, got confused when MacBook and phone were both connected and switching between them, caused the buds to shoot up the volume suddenly on phone, luckily had my finger on the volume toggle. Honestly, haven't had as much issues out the box from headsets costing a third of the price of these!

That’s odd - I would give it a few more goes just in case as it was certainly worth persevering with in my case. I did read a bizarre tip that running the personalisation in a car with the windows rolled up can produce good results - somethjng to do with air pressure. Could be nonsense but little downside to trying it I suppose.
Early impressions of Pi8 sound
>Best tws I've heard (mw08, pi7 s2, app2, MTW2)
>Low end and mids are the star, lots of body
>Treble is slightly compressed, timbre treble slightly off
I've not tried a tws that isn't flawed so don't be put off. These are great in the tws world. APP2 are more balanced but far less exciting to listen to.
Initially these aren't giving the Meze Alba a fight at all. But still, nice iteration on the PI7 I think.

For anyone plagued with Nickle/acrylates issues with consumer grade earbuds (not bacteria or silicone related) here is an update:
OnePlus pro 3, Galaxy buds 3 Pro, LG tone series are all still a no go because of chemicals used.
Sennheiser MTW4 and AAP Pro 2 are still the only ones I have found that do not produce a reaction after prolonged use..I hope one day the others will get these irritants out of their production process.

Moot now, but I think the latest app update (few days ago) fixed all the app connectivity issues, albeit, I had very little if any.I experienced issues with the app connectivity, similar to this person. Ah! Thanks for sharing!
I actually am one such person (nickel allergy) - and I think you're reminding me of what was a bit off for me with the Oneplus Buds 2 Pro. Comfy, but still irritated my skin a bit. I think to add to your list of ones that don't produce an allergy (at least for me, with nickel):
