For me ANC is clutch on buses and NYC subways, plus in the city in general.

The Earfun arrived and I have been playing with them for about 30 minutes. I think I have too many TWS at the moment it is all getting muddy. I will need to A/B them against the Liberty 4NC. Newer Bluetooth version, okay app, many ear tips, including XL.

Thus far they are good. If I didn't have so damn many I am sure I could be totally happy with these. App has a ton of EQ presets, personal tuning, EQ, Ai noise canceling, but I think just normal ANC is really pretty good.

I won't rush to judgement. For the price I feel it is a no-brainer. Which is why I want to compare them with the 4NC.

Edit: LDAC appears to be a touch finicky, at least for me.

To me, having the electronics onboard to allow NC, Is the single most desirable thing in these devices…. When you can receive the same loudness with half the output volume, that is a huge plus for your long term hearing health 👍. The catch is for these vendors to improve NC, while maintaining HQ sound. Very tricky and needs serious DSP skills..
Let me give an example. I take a walk at a local Carl’s Jr every morning. When through with the walk, I pick up a coffee and listen to music.. They have a commercial bought sound track they play all day, very annoying. I had to stop using my AirPods 3 because no NC, and I had to turn them up too loud. Now using Bose and Sennheiser and looking into Sony xm5 or Linkbuds S…. These make a huge difference in hearing comfort when I leave.
I know this is just common sense, but what a contrast 👍

Are you saying that you don't miss this ???

(From a pm here 10/12:)

I just ordered the Noble Triumph for $332 shipped (no tax) from HifiSoundgear (will be $327 after Chase 1.5% cashbook). My biggest TWS purchase to date, and I hope it lasts at least 3yrs. LETS GO!!! :L3000:

And a month long subscription to Tidal HiFi Plus, but I'm not renewing it.

I never realized how important it was until my ANC on my AirPod Pros died with a static noise issue. Especially at the gym, it would cut out so much unnecessary noise so I can focus on my workout.

Received my pair of Earfun Air Pro 4 today, they sounded pretty horrible out of the box but with the personal EQ Test plus some extra tweaking I got them to sound pretty good. Screenshot_20240809-100953.png
They are certainly more of a fun listening experience which is what I want out of a TWS. The driver sounds less resolving than those of the Ace Aurvana 2, but the xMEMS driver in these often had an unpleasant sheen behind them, which hurt the presentation. Also they had way more ANC quirks and annoying sounds going on than the Earfun. The ANC seems to be at least on par, if not stronger than the Aurvana 2.
Footstep sounds are pretty loud with ANC on, have to try the wind mode later. The connection distance is way better on the Aurvana 2.
So far I am pretty happy with the Air Pro 4. If we can get an ANC TWS that sounds like my Mega5EST one day, I will be content. But we are still far off that.

I also had to eq the midrange a lot but then it's fine.
The fun listening experience is also what I was looking for.

Got the Samsung GB3P today and so far enjoying their sound.

Bit frustrated do I really need One UI 6.1.1 to turn on the UHQ setting? Running S23 Ultra with One UI 6.1.

It is using SSC but not way to enable the highest sound quality that I can see.

Aside from the codec frustration so far the sound quality is really good and the ANC is as good as I have heard easily as good as the Jabra Elite 10 or WF-1000XM5. Very comfy to, I am thinking slightly better than the Elite 10 which was my most comfy TWS.

Also like the feel of the case and the TWS in hand it feels very premium to me.

Started with balanced, played with dynamic and the other presets and ended with this for a custom EQ. Had the bass cranked a bit higher as well the treble but dialed both down. NOTE: I can't really hear 16Khz anymore so I don't generally bother adjusting unless I can hear it change the sound...

Will have to do some A/B/C testing but pretty sure these are going to beat the Sony comfortably and I think likely the Elite 10 as well for SQ.

I can only go from memory but I think these already have more detail than the GB2P even without UHQ and they are less grainy sounding. I like the planar tweeter.
