I will only be able to comment on the Gbuds 3 Pro after making some calls and getting some feedback.

Are you using a Samsung high end phone or a different brand of Android? I am currently using an S23 Uktra that does not have the ability to do UHQ yet. So am limited to standard SSC or AAC and while limited can say these sound very good. But you will be limited to just AAC on anything other than Samsung so this needs to be considered.
I got a S24 ultra (not impressed, but stuck with it for now). I'd like to know how good the quality of the mics on the Gbuds 3 is. Is it better than apple or huawei? As long as the sound is good enough (not bad like cheap earbuds), I care mainly about the mic quality. I will be using it for mainly calls, I don't listen to music on my phone really. Mainly podcasts, youtube, etc..

OK, I will do some calls with my wife over today and tomorrow and get feedback.

I will do a pushing a grocery cart in the parking lot test and talking in a couple busy stores plus and outside in the wind test and tell you what she thinks of each experience plus how they sound to me.

I can turn on ambient sound when on a call, want that on or off? Off will improve my sound quality especially for the cart push test.

Is the ANC a feature they are promising???. They would need to have the 3 mics available on the hardware
I have them. Highly doubt they’ll add ANC with a fw update.

Didn’t you get the Freebuds 5 at some point? My memory could be mistaken. If you did, are they any good? Worth it? I’ve been eyeing them.

OK, two calls both outside and then inside stores. First call also driving down the highway with the window down to simulate wind. Both calls with the ambient mode thing enabled while on the call.

First call my wife could not hear wind while driving with the window down. She also could not hear the cart while I rattle across the pavement into the store. Meanwhile in both cases with ambient enabled I could hear those sounds but was able to hear her mostly clearly but in both case I was having to fight the ambient sound versus her voice.

2nd call with my Mom was at a Home Depot getting wood cut. While he cut the wood I hung up my call and just let the TWS act as a noise breaker. The high pitched saw was audible but less than half volume as compared to removing the TWS. Given thos is a really high pitched whine sound I call that successful. After the wood was cut I called back and talked with my Mom while buying other stuff in the store and then pushing the cart across the parking lot and she said she could only hear me and there was no cutting out of my voice.

So I would say both calls were more successful that Sony or Jabra which are the 2 high end TWS I use regularly.

Listening to music has also been super good. Listening to Led Zeppelin Robert Plant's voice had just the right amount of strident quality to give his vocals edge. Bass can go deep and treble is nicely detailed without being grainy or sibilant.

These might be the best all round TWS I have heard so far. But need to do some more testing and comparison to be sure.

I tried the GB3P on standard SSC (Fold 5) then switched to Flip 6 running SSC UHQ, and could detect a cleaner sound signature. So yes UHQ makes a difference. And playing around with the 9 band EQ I could get just the right balance between highs and lows, without it becoming too technical. So yes loving the GB3P/ Flip6 combo.
Wonder how the sound compares to Senn. Momentum 4s.

Did some testing on the GB3P switching between SSC and AAC. Using the song Thick as a Brick by Jethro Tull right around the 5:03 mark of the song there is a bass drop with some kind of percussive cymbal. The change to AAC loses some bass depth and texture and the cymbals loses some of the decay, sounding slightly less like a cymbal.

Just some small differences between what a Samsung user with at least standard SSC hears versus someone having to use AAC. Enough to say these are only good for Samsung? Not in my opinion and I will confirm by testing the same song at the best codec I can use with Elite 10 and WF-1000XM5 as comparisons when I have some time.

If the UHQ allows even more detail and texture I will be very happy.

How's the mic on Soundcore by Anker Liberty 4 NC Wireless Earbuds? Is call quality good?

Edit: NM - it seems Anker sucks for call qualty! Product description says 6 mics with AI processing, and it still sucks.

ANC on the GB3P is crazy good. I had turned off voice detection so I could sing away to my tunes. Go into Walmart and in silent bliss. Get to the counter and the teller tries to talk to me and I pretty can't hear them at all. Had to pop a bud to hear them... switch it to voice detection before I go up to customer service and start a conversation and didn't have to remove them to talk. That feature was also on the GB2P but it was only sort of OK as it was harder to hear the person you were talking to with the older model.

So far every thing that slowly drove me away from the GB2P has been improved. Definitely a good step up!

BTW I had to switch to the larger tips and these are hard to remove but watched the video and was to successfully switch without issue. But see why this has been an issue for some.

Haven't had much wind yet but did notice a slight hiss at one point. Will update once I have some real wind to contend with.
