Got home and threw on a pair of Medium Symbios I have in my box of tips. The bass is definitely more present and these earbuds are not moving. Can't wait for the Azla SednaCrystals to show up too.

Yep, lots of cross pollination going on there... Samsung, AKC, Harman and JBL.. 👍
Now Samsung needs to share their Codec with their subsidiary companies. It will give all of them a 24 bit codec that will strengthen their appeal and give Samsung owners a 2nd option for high quality codecs since they refuse to support AptX xxx.

I don't understand exactly what you mean, but Samsung's Smartphones support SSC & LDAC which is far more complete than all Iphones with no 24 bits support and even limited to AAC ?..
LDAC is supported by many brands like Sony, Technics, most BT receivers like BTR7, iFi Go Blu, UP4 2022 (for all types of balanced IEM) and SSC by Samsung. Till now aptx xxx 16 bits is mostly not lossless.. and I don't know which brands smartphones/daps will support aptx 16bits lossless ?..

I need a pair of sleep buds that can drown out a snoring partner. Ear plugs are not proving to be good enough. Would also like 8+ hours of battery life. I'm a side sleeper, so small size and comfort are a must. Bose has discontinued their sleep buds and I've seen no indication of a new model coming. All the options seem to have serious limitations. Had anyone found something effective?

Till now, I couldn't find any tiny TWS with 8+ hours playing time when ANC is activated. The tiniest TWS I use for sleeping on the side too, is the Galaxy Buds2 pro, which can be used for just 8 hours playing music in AAC mode without ANC.. I would say with proper tips and BT music playing at a very low volume level, for sure no external sound can be eared.
I also use a bigger HA-FW1000T but a bit less 8 hours without ANC.
When I really need 8+ hours, the best way is to use some tiny size IEM (Sound Magic E11C, Beyer Dynamic Xelento, Sennheiser IE200/600/800, ... ) with an iFi Go Blu BT receiver which can play music 15h.+
I am waiting this week end for an Audio Technica ATH-CKS50TW which should be able to be used for 20h with ANC on on one charge... but I am afraid it will too thick to sleep easily on the side, but should be alright to be used for overseas trips (13 to 14 hours flight time and 30 to 35h from door to door ).

NB : As I never tried to calculate the available time with just ANC on .. and no Bluetooth Music Playing at the same time, maybe some TWS can manage to handle an 8+hours ?

I'm using the Soundcore A40, and it can reach 8 hours with ANC on (and some 10 hours with ANC off). It's slightly bulbous on my ears though, i can wear them sleeping sideways, but not with my ears straight flush on the pillow.

If ANC not needed, the older Soundcore Dot 3i could get 8 hours (and around 7 hours with ANC on). It's not as bulbous, and has a more wider form, so it would lay more flush at least on my ears. Also this one uses physical buttons instead of touch, so no accidental button pushing.

I like both of them and i think they are really worth their price

Just can’t fathom spending too much on considerably “perishable” tech
On the other hand, by the time they perish you would have bought atleast 3 more tws.

I love Samsung, don't get me wrong. But while they support their own SSC and LDAC almost ALL android manufacturers support LDAC and MANY support APTx HD, Adapative, and now starting to support lossless all of which Samsung has shunned even though they use chipsets that FULLY support those codecs.

But I was actually suggesting Samsung make SSC available to AKG, JBL, etc as that would then give those products a HiRes option outside of just using LDAC. I own the GB2P and really like how seemless and easy SSC is. If those other TWS could use that codec it would boost their sales and boost Samsung's phone sales as their customers would then have a wider range of TWS and other BT products that could take take advantage of SSC. To me it would just help Samsung and its subsidiaries gain market share.

As long as manufacturers insist on removing expandable storage I don't see the point in allowing hi res playback. They are so inbetween knowing what they want their phones to be used for.

That doesn't really make sense. On my 256 GB pixel 7 pro I'm able to store a ton of downloads via Tidal that are lossless for listening offline. So it's actually really important for my phone to have access to good codecs.

256GB is not a lot once the phone becomes clogged over the years with updates etc added to my whole 600 or so CD rip collection (mp3 320, be worse if FLAC), I would want a SD slot and I have no clue why they chose to remove them from the current new phones.

My phone is an older Flagship model, and it came in 64GB or 128GB models with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM, I managed to get the 6GB RAM model but only the 128GB due to no stock at that time, but not an issue as I use a 256GB SD card with it for all the media side of things (music/photos/security cam footage) and have a 400GB SD card if need be.

I would buy a new phone with 256GB no probelm IF it also had an SD slot.

Agreed
My wife has the Samsung A73 + a terabyte SD card.
She opted memory over bling

Sooo....I had misplaced my noble fokus pro so I dug out my geekfly gf10. Easily the most comfortable and the sound is incredible. Great soundstage. Great bass-not quite as much rumble as fokus pro and not quite the volume but close. I'd say a bit better clarity with 90% of the bass and volume. Worth mentioning with the top tier.

Another annoying thing these days...
