About: Geek Wold GK12
I was able to get the Geek Wold GK12, which was delivered at my doorstep more than a week ago in China through Taobao's website by Geekfly. They look similar to the GK10, but without the heart shape. They don't come with the checkered black carbon fiber look as advertised below by Geekfly, but I'll take them anytime over the GK10's. After burning them in for 100 hours, I must admit, IMHO, they are in every way better than the GK10. The bass punches lower with enhanced sub-bass punch and texture and less mid-bass when compared to the GK10. The MID's has more air and transparency, while the hi-end details are incredibly better in every way. The GK12 has 12 drivers, while the GK10 has 10, and the GK80 has 8 drivers total. Below are more detailed SPEC's on all three.

According to Geekfly, here's more about the GK12's below...

1642951986569.jpg1642951986534.jpg 3 Graphene DD's!

PROS and CONS

PROS:

3 graphene dynamic drivers for enhanced bass. High-definition midrange with air and transparency. Enhanced upper hi-end and micro-details. Light, small and easy to wear in-ear units. Nice well-made silver cables. A good variety of silicone ear tips. Soft carry pouch. Plus, manual and warranty.

CONS:
Non-detachable cables (though they are stronger than the average 4-strand cables, IMHO).

Unfortunately, I can see that the GK12 only sells through Taobao. So, if you're able to pick one up, below is the link!

One last note:
After knowing what the GK12 has to offer in sound quality alone when compared to the GK10, I don't know if I'll be getting the GK80 any time soon. Then again, curiosity killed the cat and it might just kill me, too. Overall, The GK10 just took a beating from my GK12's. TKO! :head_bandage:

Geek Wold GK80 comming :)

minuses:
1) bad cable contacts (in the trash).
2) the membrane clicks when inserted into the ear.
3) poor processing of the edges of the sound guide (plastic remnants).
4) sound - very bright and very baSSSSSZZZZESSSS like "boboboBOOOOOO". Female voices very forward and very bright with "SSSCHSSSHSSS" sound from ba driver. mids sound worse than gk10 :frowning2:

Small review about sound(sorry for a strange translate:
Listened, compared with gk10.
Compared with the first model, a "headphone shape" has occurred with the sound.
1) the mids have become, in my opinion, worse: the bottom of the mids is raised - which gives massiveness to some instruments (in electronics it gives rather a howl), and the mids are too pushed forward, which leads to such sounds as "ssssstststshshshssss", the middle has clearly become painted. Perhaps someone will like this presentation, but I don’t know :( It also seems that it’s precisely because of the middle that the “driver docking” has become worse.
2) bass: it was generously added, but in return we get that influx on the lower mids that I described above. The depth is covered by the extended midbass, in the GK10 the depth was felt better.
3) HF, honestly, it was difficult to feel the difference with the previous gk, because the HF noticeably pulls the blanket over itself and the HF seems smaller, but in general, the HF quality is unchanged.
4) the sensitivity remained the same.

The cons are obvious: the membrane clicks, straight wildly. Perhaps I ran into GK quality as it was in the first gk10 for some on head-fi and this affected the sound, but what is what is, I described above :)
GK10 vs GK80: in my case GK10 much better than GK80 bcz a GK10 more wider, better mids(not bright and more neutral) and bass(not so basshead).
Tested on Fiio x7-2 and Zishan Z4 mod with graphene and silver cable.

How many hours on it so far? I know with my GK10 it took a lot of playing time to settle in and the bass end changed significantly becoming much cleaner and having less impact on the mids over time.

~30min. I know that the bass can change, for example become less protruding. but high mids sound worse.
I have a two version of gk10(green 2th ver and blue 3th ver). :)

I would give them some time to break in and try some different tips. My set does not sound like how you're describing them. Break them in real good and then check how they do. The piezzos seems to smooth out over time and sound becomes much more coherent with break in. Bass is where they are different with each source I have tried.

Though I will say over time bass does settle down in general cleaning up the sound more so.

Do you have a membrane that clicks when inserted into your ear? it's just that it seems to me defective as it was in the first models from other members of the forum

Driver flex is not a big deal. Mine has minor flex on the left side. Though it seemed more prominent on open listen, I can barely notice now. Never had an earphone give out due to driver flex. Slower insertion in the ear fixes that issue. I know we like to shove earphones into our ears and get the music going on right away.

I think it is the compact nature of the housing and venting seems to be not proper on them. I have never really been a fan of that heart shaped housing. I was hoping Geek was going to use something different this time.

Driver flex
its a big problem and can damage a driver, even tfz acceptit as a problem.
my friends are shocked by what I said and probably the sales of these headphones will be very bad.

I really liked my GK10 but GK80 sounds like a trash :frowning2:

Try to insert the housing slower. To me it is easy as that, it will fix that problem. If that bothers you let Penon know about it. I am sure they will bring it up with Geek. I know Geek rep reads this thread as well.
yep, im already write to Penon store :)

im trying to insert slowly but still a problem.
More expensive LetShuoer does has a driver flex too haha
