Hmm, maybe I just got a dud. I'm interfacing with Samsung Support and hopefully can get an RMA going for that. They suggested I clear the boot cache, but I still have disconnects with my Sony car stereo.

Done a full system reset? Sometimes stuff goes janky in an install. Otherwise, yeah, just get a new one. Mine's been bluetoothing to my car flawlessly since day 1.

Same. No issues with my car, my Sony WH1000XM2's or my Sony sound bar .

How's the WH1000XM2 treating you? Been tempted to snag a pair for when I go running.

I like them a lot. They work well with LDAC on the S9.

I do not have a V30 but do have a V20 and I have to say after just testing my Mom's S9 using LDAC versus my phone use Aptx-hd the S9 had way way better sound quality on my WI1000X IEM. Might have to think about a switch...

I'm ready to upgrade from my Note5 (wolfson dac?). Thinking S9+ or v30. Prob will wait until note9. The note5 sounds great, but not enough output for my higher impedance headphones. That's ok though. It gets loud enough for most of my over ears. Has anyone heard s5/note5 vs s9? - If its the same SQ, or better, I'll just stick with Samsung.

I know this is mostly about the aux jack but the fact that the S9 does LDAC and AAC is really nice.

I got to compare the s9+ and Lg g7 side by side yesterday. The g7 sounds nice, but the quad dac is useless on my 650's. Still too quiet. With lower impedance HP's, the g7 is also too quiet, and the s9 gets more than enough volume. I picked the s9+ over the g7.

The v30 had volume issues as well. It's why people looked for ways to trick it into high-impedance mode. Kind of a bummer given the SQ was stellar with it.

I have been using my S9 for several days now and am torn. The LDAC functionality is simply stunning with WI-1000X but the headphone jack is significantly warmer than my V20. This has turned my headphones upside down. All my thin sounding headphones sound awesome while my brassy warm headphones now sound overblown and off. Will have to play around to find out what works best.

Love the S9 as a phone and android device though very responsive and great battery life so far.

Use the stock EQ, and boost the treble.
