I got my Sennheiser HD25-1 II's last week and they're portable, very sturdy and sound great out of an mp3 player without an amp.
Overall a great purchase. You might want to check out the AIAIAI TMA-1 too, haven't tried that myself though.

I mean you cut the jack. from 3m to 1.5m (depend on you) then you buy a new jack like neutrik or paiilic and solder both of them together

Just throwing the AIAIAI TMA-1's in here, considering you need portability. They might work for you, and are getting great reviews, they're generally new.

I think I am going with the Denon AH-D1001K (Black)...seems the cord is only 5 feet long, which I can deal with.  Does anyone know where I can get these for a decent price?  It seems most places had them for about slightly above 1/2 the retail, but...they are sold out...and I don't think anyone is selling these on the buy/sell thread in the forum.
