i was just wondering if the clamp would make it possible with the headband pulled as far back on the head as possible and would not fall off i have a medium size head.

Actually I just went to a local store and compared DT 1770 PRO and TH900. DT 1770 PRO had more accurate and transparent sound overall, while TH900 were more musical and had more deep, powerful bass. So yea, it's a tough choice! But I felt TH900 were more unique as closed headphones (DT 1770 PRO's sound was like open-back headphones). Maybe TH-X00 is my way to go.

That's good thinking.  Or purchase from a place that has a good return policy and return the one you don't want without needing to sell it.

On a serious note I have the TH900 and have no plans to get these, though I'll get to audition then soon enough. Mainly an issue with comfort for me as I can notice the edges of my ears touching the cup even for the TH900. Also I expect the TH900 to be more refined and technically superior since it's their flagship. As for a TH600 owner you gotta wonder how they compare?

 
I'll be happy to get you mine for audition and comparison with the th900. Maybe you will send the th900 back with me when you are done. I feel that the th-x00 may be worthy for me to crank out a review

Then I would stay away from these honestly. Just based on the th900. I bet these are a little bit less but still has the same house sound. I will find out soon...

I for one hope that pad rolling can bring the bass back to the level of the others. I just want the highs down. I love mids but I am not expecting a miracle there so my hopes aren't too high.

Im thinking a more spacious and transparent DT1770 will be what it sounds like.
