What I still don't know for sure since I don't have a Mk2 is if the connector for the TH-900 is the same Senheisser uses for the HD6xx series.
I seem to remember that is the case but can anyone confirm?

It's the same as the FitEar and therefore yes Senn however I don't know how the Senn's wired whereas on FitEar I believe on channel is reversed. The TH-900Mk2 is wired like the FitEar.

I think so based on the Mk2 * discussion here.

Never knew that thread existed. Personally I think it should be merged. Will discuss with the other mods/admins and decide later.

Sounds like a solid plan.  I think the thread kinda (for lack of a better term) expired after it was determined that the MK2 was more or less the same as the original except for the cable connectors.

Oh yes...the bass kicks butt. Sometimes I just want to rock out and that's exactly what thr th900 is great at doing.

don't forget that down low sub bass, you got to get down with the get down .

Th900 is as a headphone close to perfection, just listen to Peter Gabriel and you will get everything :)

And then listen to Peter Gabriel with lcd3
And then listen Peter Gabriel with he1000

Honestly, I did listen with LCD3 and must admit I am not impressed. Too warm for my taste. I dislike Audeze and will be honest with you that the only pure sound I would put my money on Audeze is the LCD2 pre fazor. Good body, thought just as dark as my 650's. The rest of Audeze, meh.
He1000 is still a headphone I have to listen to. Big respect for Hifiman, though I only heard 500's.
TH900 is my cup. I love the resolution, I adore the bass, I am in love with the treble, which Audeze have nothing of.
But Montanari, cheers!
Salute the subjective preference.

I like the th900 very much, but I don't think is close to perfection, for the mid and detail
It s easy to make sound very well, very comfortable ..but I think lcd3 is superior, especially with Peter Gabriel! Less with electronic
But to each is own for sure
The strange thing is that you like the lcd2 and hd650, cans that I also had and liked but you consider too warm the lcd3
For me lcd2 and hd650 are warmer and darker than lcd3
But again
To each is own for sure
