Manitoba or Saskatchewan?

Manitoba.

This is nothing guys. A couple years back we hit a record low of -63C (-81F). You just kinda give up and hibernate at that point.

I was in Winnipeg around this time of year in 2004, and I did experience -55 (with wind chill, -36 without).
(Those are arctic temperatures!!!) Truly incredible how people seemed to just 'get on with things', but after a 10-15 minute walk outside my entire scarf covering my face, and my eyebrows turned white and solid just from my own breath.

...  Just got my first pair and so far I have:
     - Mass loaded the back of the driver with "Bake Shop" clay.

That's not one of the ones that melts the plastic is it?

I just hope it is the non-hardening stuff.

"Just be sure it's not "bake to dry" or it will melt the cups/baffles."

Does anyone know what chemical is in that clay which melts the cups? I'm guessing it's some kind of solvent that helps keep the clay soft?

How do the Fostex fare as earmuffs?

Not that bad, though the cold reduces the effectiveness of the dynamat.

I've actually used headphones as earmuffs before, but only on moderately cold days. On bitter days like today, it could potentially shatter the cups/wires.

Quote from that site

"If you don't want to wrap your clay, you can store it in a lidded container. Glass and metal containers work well, but wood isn't ideal. While some types of plastic boxes are fine for storage, others "melt" with prolonged contact with polymer clay. Generally, plastics with recycling number of 2, 4, or 5 are fine, but if you're not sure, you can run a test with a small piece of clay. If there is no unusual stickiness or distortion of the plastic after a day or so, the container should work for storage"

That's pretty crazy
