For those of us with multiple headphones, which ones are you listening with now?

About to hit the hay so I went ahead and plugged the Ikko OH10s into the A&K Kann Alpha for some laid back (literally) listening.

At the top of this morning's queue is a 2018 effort by Ghost-Note entitled Swagism. Ghost-Note is a side project started by two of the members Snarky Puppy. They incorporate a bit more in the way of electronic samples and some hip hop influences, but it's still largely jazz and funk based in the end. Definitely some cool music worth checkin' out. Highly recommended!

I'm positively surprised! The new album from Susanna Hoffs sounds absolutely mint! Warm, clean, dynamic, really nice songs! :thumbsup:

Been getting into Brandi Carlile a lot after discovering her this year. I've started to make my way down her entire discography and am currently on Firewatcher's Daughter. Such an incredible talent - both in how well she can sing/play guitar & piano and her songwriting abilities. Love this album and all the other ones I've heard so far. Sounds absolutely fabulous on this setup as well.

I've got the DCA Expanse driven by the GS-X Mini with the Gustard R26 decoding all the bits and pieces from my laptop/Qobuz.

I've been on a bit of a Billy Cobham streak lately and tonight/this morning (1AM) I've got a 1996 album featuring Cobham, jazz guitarist Bill Blickford, and Wolfgang Schmid on bass entitled Paradox. This is a damn good fusion album with incredible playing from all three musicians. Cobham lays down some ridiculous solos at various points on the recording. I could listen to this album on repeat and catch something new everytime. That said, it's also fairly approachable and easy to listen to for your average music buff. I can't recommend this one any more highly! 🤘😎

Dusted off the LCD-2 closed and with a bit of Lokius-ing am bumping to some Dua Lipa, Hollywood Undead, and other various things. Haven't had these out in a while and am really digging the phat (heh) low-end and more spacious, if a little less accurate, presentation vs the Aeon RT closed.

Spotify HQ --> Topping E50 --> Lokius --> THX 789

On an unrelated note, I've been listning to my speakers more (Revel M16s) for the past months but pulling the headphones back out reactivated the bug. Might try to pick up an updated LCD-XC of something but I'm relaly fortunate to have the stable I do. Great time to be a music listener.

Goin' 50 by ZZ Top - Celebrating their 50th anniversary and it has them all, which is hardly surprising considering there are 50 tracks. I do like the way the songs are all mixed up as I usually play the individual albums. It's amazing how Billy Gibbons gets such a fat sound out of his guitars when he uses 8 gauge strings (very light). Takes me back to Donington "Rocking the Castle" in 1985, where they headlined - best party I've ever been to, I don't think I sobered up for three days. Great line up including Metallica, Bon Jovi, Marillion, Magnum and Ratt, so the music was great but when ZZ Top flew over the crowd in their Eliminator (slung under a helicopter) that was the end of that, all anyone wanted was the tres hombres.
Gone more for tone tonight with the Schiit pair and sticking with the Denons - sounds grrrrrrrreat :darthsmile:

[Vertigo: December, 1972.] Absolutely engrossing - polyinstrumental portraits within portraits ….with ‘direction / time’ changes thrown in for good measure! The PS2000e / MZ3 are great passports for this kind of traveling🎼🧳🎶

Great pick! One of the all-time classics in the prog genre. This is another one of those albums that is timeless, still sounds as fresh today as it did the day it was released. 🤘😎
