Beautiful. I always thought the similar looking, all black Elex was the sharpest looking of all Focal headphones.Leaked early

By the way, anyone using their Focals with an Arche, who is using them with a Naim Power Line (or Lite)?
I'm aware this may not make much sense.. lol (probably better to get something better than an Arche with the price of the power line).

Well I have done it - gone and bought myself the Utopia. The Clears will be relegated (not in a harsh sense) to listening on the sofa with my DAP, or perhaps I will take them to the office. Needless to say, the Utopia sound fantastic and complement my Stellia. My desktop setup is in my living room, so which headphones I use will depend on the level of domestic mayhem going on around me. Now I need to deside on cables for both - decisions, decisions.

Grats on the purchase!
Can I ask why you wouldn't use the utopia or stellia with your dap on the sofa?

I mainly listen at the desk and gotta show some loyalty and love to my first Focal purchase. I am also too lazy to unplug the cables from my amp!Grats on the purchase!

Better to unplug the headphone before switch off the amp.
Better to plug the headphone after you switch on the amp.

I dunno man... I'm not sure why I'd ever listen except to my favorite headphone of the same type (e.g. open and closed are different types so definitely I can see why Stellia over Utopia in some situations).
But I guess I also can't imagine using over ear headphones (except noise cancelling things) while in motion.

Hopefully there is a full moon with you, otherwise it will go wrong

How necessary is this best practice?

Probably depends on the amp. If it has a delayed relay, it's not all that important. How necessary is this best practice?

Many amps have DC current when you switch on and off that could damage headphones. How necessary is this best practice?
To not have bad surprise I have this practice even with the qp2r.
My susy dynalo has it, and I damaged my he1000 with a burmester and a luxman in the past..
So I learned the lesson
