Yes it is pricey, I'll certainly want to spend some time with it before I empty my wallet and know it's going to give me everything I expect from my classical cd's. Here's hoping you hit the lottery so that future becomes not quite so distant.

I personally wouldn't buy a great sounding headphone that wasn't comfortable to wear. I had comfort issues with the LCD line and ruled them out, but they did sound good. Heat buildup is another aspect of fit for me. My 2 favorites auditioned so far are the HD800 and HE1000. I know the 800S will be fine comfort wise when I audition it. I'll save the Utopia for last then most likely buy 2 of the 4 candidates and call my headphone search project completed. 2017 is set aside for actually listening to my collection.
Sound and fit are the 2 reasons I want to audition in home before buying. Especially at these price points.
