Nowhere does Schiit Audio classify, identify, label the Valhalla II as a hybrid. If a h/p/a is a hybrid, it is so stated: e.g. Lyr 3, Vali 2.
I said “sounds” and not “a hybrid “ 😝
Officially it’s a hybrid

[borrowed from the Clear MG thread]

Just put the Elear back on. Am using the hybrid copper+silver cable.

To my ears the Elear definitely convey more of a sense of air, freshness and space than do the MG. Certainly not as accomplished (refined/nuanced, etc.) as the MG on several fronts, but providing more of a raw connectivity with the music.

. . .

To be honest, I could live happily with either (or both!) of these headphones.

(And I must confess to almost buying a pair of the Elegia earlier today.)

So I have been listening to my lcd2-classic while I've waited for my Ken Rad vt231 and RCA 6as7g black plate to come in, but today I just plugged in my Dekoni Hybrid Elear to my stock tube Dark Voice 336 and played Level Tipping Scales by Boldy James and wow! I actually feel like I'm hearing what The Alchemist was hearing when he mixed the beat originally. A lot of times I feel like I'm getting a dumbed-down AirPodified version of what the producer put together in the studio. Not here. There's a real depth to this record.

Wait till you roll the tubes as the stock ones suck.!
Good choice with the RCA👍

You would probably have to get something like that custom-made at a cable shop.
Ted Allen, FBI Cables stateside, has made adapters that allow me to use Focal cables (3.5mm mono) with Audeze and HEDDphones (mini 4-pin XLR).

Swapped pads again today. From Utopia pads to Dekoni Stellia pads: Dekoni has a lot more bass presence at the cost of treble energy.
Depending on mood or recording either one is preferrable to the other actually. Both are good pads but both are quite pricey.

The fateful day, today.
Will be heading off to the FedEx drop-off location momentarily.

Verdict: The MG go and the Elear stay.
