My set up. Cannot decide on DAC/AMP.
maybe iFi Diablo?
maybe iFi Diablo?
iFi Diablo?
Yes was considering it, but a review stated it is a bit analytical for brighter headphones? What do you think? If portability is not as Important for you, the clarity of the RME ADI-2 FS (or Pro FS) match perfectly with the voicing of the Clear MG.
The Clear Mg for the most part is a warm headphone and I find it benefits from brighter sources. The nice thing with the RME is it has a 5 band parametric eq. I have to eq my clear mg to enjoy as I find the treble to dark for me.Yes was considering it, but a review stated it is a bit analytical for brighter headphones? What do you think?
I think it depends on the perspective, for me "warmer" sounding DAC/AMP's have a "sound" where the ADI-2 Pro FS falls into the transparent category. I have no trouble using the RME with brighter Beyerdynamic's for example, but I usually EQ them as I find that bright headphones alter the timber of acoustic instruments too much for my liking.Yes was considering it, but a review stated it is a bit analytical for brighter headphones? Does it matter that RME does not have balanced headphone output?Mg's sensitivity is exemplary, and if it makes sense, investment in a good DAC first would yield with much better results then with a "great" amp.
RME and Soekris all in one solutions come to my mind, but surely, there are others.
